Hudsons Bar and Grill

We were hesitant coming here. But decided to give it a try because they are farm-to-table (according to their website). The food quality, taste, presentation, and service were all great. These 3 dishes plus coffee was $50. Worth trying this place!

The food was good but the service was bad. The waitress was slow to take orders, to bring the checks which were mixed up and finally brought two long after the rest of the party left. She was not friendly. We were a party of 12 and arrived at 7:00 pm and left at 10:00 pm.

I've been a guest at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver several times over the last 5 years and I've never left a review though I have complimented the customer service of the hotel staff. Today I want to leave a review for the snarky blonde bartender at the Hudson restaurant. I walked in at 2:02 p.m., and she very perkily said they closed at 2:00. When I looked surprised, she happily supplied the hours were online. Good customer service would have had her asking if the cook's minded since it was only 2:02, but it was obvious by her attitude she wasn't going to extend service beyond what she had to.

We had an amazing brunch on Christmas day. The waitress was so nice and the atmosphere was so warm and cozy. Thank you for making our day special.

I had the best Wagyu Steak and the worst shrimp. The service is amazing, even though they seat you in an awful open hotel lobby. The seating is cold because of the doors and has high foot traffic, and lots of people stare at you.

I’m so confused by the good reviews… we went there for thanksgiving buffet, because it was highly recommended. We sat in a weird banquet hall that had cafeteria vibes, they charged us adult price for our (very tiny, looks even younger) 11 year old. Food was cold and overly salty, and our server made no mention of the meat carving stations that were in the main room (not visible from our dining area), so we had no idea there was prime rib, turkey or ham until after I had already eaten a sub par pork loin. $5 for a soda with no refills, and a 20% tip added automatically. For a buffet?! I would have tipped that anyway, but for that to be assumed is a little wild. Highly regret my choice, we should have done Chinese food like we had planned.

They give you a good quantity of food for breakfast, and the food was good, service was not so good. Everything was fine initially, waitress was running around, I get it, it's slightly busy. But I finished, my family was still eating, and she slaps the bill on the table and walks off. So I guess a second mimosa wasn't going to happen, or anything else, it was time for us to go! I felt like I was eating at a busy truck stop, not a more upscale brunch at a nice lodge. So a $70 truck stop meal for 3 people.

Had the Ceviche and it was outstanding. My friend had the Chicken Alfredo and I also had the steak Kabobs all were very good and reasonably priced.The only problem I had was the service was pretty ho hum.We asked for a couple of Happy hour drafts when we got there and it was a bit of a wait. Then we refilled when we were served our food and then our waitress disappeared for about 20 mins.Both glasses were empty for a while and when she came out again I asked if we had time for another happy hour beer. Her reply was "what time is it" and we told her on our phone it was 6:05 she said no too late they have about a 3 minute window they can get them in so we left a little disappointed

First time visit. Met with a business peer for a late breakfast. I had the steak omelet. Oh my! Quite good. And the hash browns. Didn't need any condiments. Jacob was our server. He rolled with my jokes and was an excellent server. 👌 Overall, it was just a wonderful experience. If you are in the Vancouver area. Do go check out Hudsons. From the hostess to table servers and wait staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was great and the atmosphere was even better.

We had a reservation, service was friendly, there when you wanted and not bugging when not wanted. The food was good as always. The calamari appetizer was great. Drinks were also good. Full meal for 2 with drinks, dessert and appetizers $200. Great for a special occasion.

Made an online reservation through kitchen table but the group kept increasing so I had to call the restaurant. Paul, the restaurant manager, prepared arrangements to accommodate the group of 24. Showed up and everything was perfectly set up! He promised that Dani, our server for the entire group, would take care if us...that was an understatement! She was amazing! Her focus and attention to everything and each individual made us feel like we were the only ones there that night. She genuinely cared about everything being just perfect and went every extra mile she could. Her humor and kindness made everyone laugh and feel like she was part of our party ;p The food and drinks were all amazing as usual. I just can't thank everyone there that evening for your talent and efforts to accommodate us all on a Friday night with a full restaurant. Much appreciated!

Great food, service and atmosphere ... very consistent, good service. I wish that the happy hour food menu had more of a selection but know that it just started back again after a Covid-era reprieve.

Every dish was spot on. Drinks were great too. Wonderful meal. Lamb, scallops, and prawns. So good we all shared bites.
