Houston's

There are so many reasons why Houston's is on the very top of my favorite restaurants. I have been a valuable customer for 20+ years. Houston's value their customers as the professionalism is displayed from the moment you enter into the restaurant as your greeted with a friendly smile down to the moment you're seated as that same professionalism is shown with the waiter/waitress. They bounce off of each other as a team. Also, Houston's is one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever visited (New Orleans, LA, Dallas, TX and Houston, TX). To top it off the food is DELICIOUS! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Houston's to any and everyone!!

Walker was my server, extremely professional and kind. Houston's never fails me. A classic place with consistent food & service. Also, the oysters were the best!

Houston's is a classy place with a chic ambiance. You can still be dressed like a blue-collar employee and be treated with the same respect as if you were to wear a Brooks Brother's suit. The service is friendly and welcoming. I loved that most, if not all, cooks and chefs were black. I ordered the Hawaiian Steak, which is marinated and tenderized with pineapple for seventy-two hours, and my lady ordered the prime rib. Both were delicious and filling. Beyond all of that, the live jazz band played our favorites! If ever in NoLa, definitely check this place out.

Love they food... I'm not a person that care for ribs. They ribs are ao good and fall off the bone.

Jerad was a great server, The prices went up, but the size and taste did not increase in its value. I tipped my server according to his serves not according to the quality of the food I received. Which I think worked in Jerad's favor. I like this location but they should bring back the way they use to do things, and stop trying to make it different from American Bristo, because when I want Houston's Authentic Food, I have to go to American Bristo. That makes me sad, but I have to do what is necessary when I desire Houston's Authentic Menu

Food great, as usual. Staff was overly-accommodating. We had an extra person and they worked to get a booth to fit us all in quickly. And here's the best part - they didn't act like we were a pain in the arse for putting them out. They worked to get us a table with smiles on their faces! Rare, these days ...

The salad, tuna and steak delicious. I enjoyed my birthday dinner. Amazing atmosphere and romantic. Excellent for a special occasion.

Had a very good time last night. Fine dinner, drinks and live jazz music. Thank you for the memories.

I am not a huge fan of chains...but I don’t have a single bad thing to say about this place. Top notch security guard in the restaurant. He was great. We dined on 2 appetizers—artichoke and spinach dip and the smoked salmon. Absolutely great. Main dish—shrimp and avocado salad. Absolutely awesome. Great for tourists and locals.

Very nice atmosphere. Food was beautifully represented and was good. Service, not so good. Don't understand how you can serve coffee but don't bring milk with it and fries without ketchup and then it takes forever to bring these when you request them.

I adore this restaurant. The service is professional and the food excellent. Love the shrimp Louis salad, the traditional salad, the baked salmon, and the ribs, among other offerings. The cocktails are second to none. To top it off, the Garden District jazz quartet is soothingly superb in the evenings.

While in New Orleans I had a craving for a salad (I know crazy right). This was one of the suggested places when I looked for salads. They had the best margarita that I had my entire stay in New Orleans and an incredible salad it hit just the spot. Now fair warning it is a nicer establishment for New Orleans (I was asked not to wear a hat during lunch) so keep that in mind and everything else will be amazing!

Had a wonderful quiet dinner tonight. Celebrating my wife's birthday all this week. Made our reservation around noon, arrived and went straight to our table. Attendant in the parking lot set the stage for a pleasant evening. The service was excellent and Amber was awesome. Such attention. Glasses of Cab, and warm bread and olives...meals were delicious. Vince's Shrimp and Rotisserie chicken. Both fabulous. Off street parking is a huge plus. No pics. Great Jazz, love the atmosphere. Atlanta, Nashville, and now Nola. Houston's always delivers.

It had been quite some time since my last dining experience at Houston’s. This time was no different. Upon arrival (early afternoon, I was told there would be about a 40 minute wait)...no problem. The wait time was not as long as expected. The dining experience was a pleasant on. I had the House Smoked Salmon for starters-delicious! As an entree I ordered the Grilled Redfish with Spaghetti Squash-it did not disappoint. The ambience was just as I remembered-lovely!

Nice atmosphere, would consider it romantic. Food is really good with my favorite items being the Oysters St. Charles and the Spinich and Artichoke dip. Both are the best you will find anywhere in the city. Would recommend giving this place a try if you have not done so yet.
