Have been coming here for years and will keep coming back as long and they're around!I love cheese. Good cheese -- not the "singles" ya find at the convenience or grocery store. Most days they offer FREE cheese tastings. Yes, free! They've been doing this for years and each week they feature a new board highlighting 5-6 cheeses. If you have a specific type of cheese ya like but don't see it on the weekly board, let them know! Blue cheese, cheddar, goat, melting cheeses, funky cheeses, and everything in between... Let them know and they've probably got something you'll like.Visiting their website or Facebook page to learn about the weekly cheese board and, more importantly, the cheese glasses they offer throughout the year.

Lovely little hidden gem! They provide free cheese tastings of 5-6 their featured cheeses. We ended up purchasing three of the cheeses that we tried - fresh mozzarella, a French take on a hard cheddar, and a blue goat cheese. Cheeses are priced by the pound but they will cut them down to half, third, or quarter pounds. Reasonable prices for amazing cheeses! I will definitely be back.

I had a speedy but friendly visit as part of a Where's Waldo local business search. I truly wish that I had discovered this place before I developed a dairy allergy. The staff were quite gracious and welcoming. They host free weekly cheese tastings of six of their 150 Texas cheeses. They also offer a decent selection of wines, jams, and crackers to pair with the cheeses. Additionally, cheese plates of various sizes can be ordered online.

Questions & Answers

They are big fans of raw milk cheeses. as for actual raw milk, you're not really going to find that commercially available.

We do often, but not always. Just call before you come and we'll tell you if it's in stock.

It also depends on how you store it. Best practices to extend the life of your cheese are: wax paper (Houston Dairymaids has brown storage baggies made of this for sale at their location, but it can also be purchased online and at some stores) or possibly a plastic bag, but it should be left open (not sealed closed) and kept in the meat / cheese or veggie section of the fridge. Hope this helps!

Hi Ms. Singer I would contact the store as their selections to change.

Hi! We carry 1655 Gruyere, which is similar to L'etivaz. We do carry Scharfe Maxx, but it's seasonal, so it's always best to call first. We have a little as of today.

Neither, just the end result :)
