Best real Mexican food in Salt Lake… pozole… Pambazo and huarache… my respect. Affordable prices and clean place… hard to find all together. Highly recommended!!!

Easily the best and most authentic Mexican meal we’ve ever had. This isn’t Tex-Mex, this is Mexican to the core. The downside: we are officially ruined on any other Mexican food now. The bright side: we no longer need to visit Mexico for the food experience and can put that travel budget towards eating here and sending the owner’s kids to college on the money we will spend here. Great job, guys - great meal!

Delicious authentic corn tortillas! Loved the classic pastor and suadero tacos! We also tried the battleship tacos with potatoes and they were also tasty!! Bought some tortillas to enjoy more at home later

The staff here were really friendly and welcoming! We went with the Battleship Tacos, and were disappointed. Perhaps we had the wrong expectations, and should have gone with the street tacos. In total, we tried the following tacos: chorizo, carne de puerco, and the chile relleno. Each taco came with a “side”, but they were served on the taco. I wish this had been specified, as it would have affected my choice (I ended up with a taco that was mostly potato and rice). The tacos with potato were very homogenous in texture. I expect a chorizo potato taco to have individual pieces of each in the filling, but here they were all mashed together like a flavored mashed potato. There also wasn’t much meat in the mixture. The chile relleno was tasty, but a bit of a hassle to eat as a taco. I ended up eating it with a fork and knife. The tortillas were good and the colors were delightful, but they fell apart as we ate. I think it would have gone better if the tacos had two tortillas each. I can’t speak to the entire menu, but I personally wouldn’t recommend the battleship tacos.

Friday evening, not the best time to go. We waited for our food for about 20+ minutes. We were starving when we got there and as soon as we got the food we inhaled it. It was super tasty! It was not a regular sit-down restaurant... you order your food, you get a beeper and pick up your food when it starts beeping. Good luck hunting for a seat at a table. Different, but the food was really tasty will be back!

Absolutely delicious authentic Mexican food. We ordered it to go. I got a Huarache especial with chicharron. It was amazing. The flan for dessert was great too! I will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.

Our experience with authentic Mexican food was the best! Everything that we have tried was a welcome surprise to our pallet! The Huarache, Pambazo and Quesadilla are out of this world. Such amazing flavors. The salsas are so fresh and flavorful that one could drink them. To top it all off, the owners and staff are very engaging and friendly.

Very cute restaurant the food looked good but my husband and I thought it lacked something. I was expecting the pambaso to be very flavorful but it wasn't. I was also expecting the cheese to be melted in my Alambres dish. I grew up in Mexico so I can recognize traditional dishes so perhaps my hopes were too high.

The food was delicious! Literally finger-licking good! Next time you crave Mexican food come in for a bite. You won’t regret it. Take a moment to chat with the staff, they are amazing! They will guide you through every step and ensure you have a wonderful experience. Their pride and passion for their restaurant is evident in the service they provide. My family and I loved the taste, the environment, the feel, everything about this gem of a restaurant. We’ll return and hungry for more! Ps. My daughter would like to send her greetings to the mascots (Pepe and Chachita).

Strongly recommend the battleship tacos, a generous serving of your choice of meat on a home made corn tortilla. The pork carnitas were delicious as well as the freshly made delicious corn chips. The pork tamale was also good. The chipotle chicken tamale a little dry but the salsa bar has lots of options.

This place is phenomenal!! We were welcomed by the very friendly owner, Armando, who took the time to explain the menu and to show us the different organic corn kernels (blue, red, and white) that they use to make the tortillas by hand. We were blown away by the flavor of these authentically made tacos and even ordered more to take home because we couldn’t get enough. A taste of Mexico! Highly highly recommend!!

Ahhh this place Is sooo good!!! If you like authentic Mexican food this is the place to eat!!! We had the Chile relleno and chorizo con papa!! The Chile relleno is the best I’ve ever had in Utah!!!! Will repeat for sure!!!

The food was so good, I forgot to take a picture of my "Gordita" until a few bites had been taken! Great place, wonderful atmosphere, and indoor/outdoor seating. Totally coming back!!

Tacos were great! Fun atmosphere inside with cool lights. Slightly expensive at 3.50 per street taco(typical size, single tortilla). I could have easily eaten 7 since they were so tasty and not very big which would have been a 30 dollar meal. Tortillas were delicious and also good service. I really want them to make it and hope others find out about them!!

We tried La Garnacha for the first time last night and LOVED IT!!!! We ordered our food for curbside pickup and I was pleasantly surprised to learn the actually have a drive through. It was extremely convenient and the people working were great! We tried three entrees and everything was absolutely delicious! We are planning on ordering dinner from here again tonight because we want to try more dishes! I highly recommend this place!
