If u wanna come via local subway. You can take the "7 train" from 42nd st to flushing last stop. Cheap If u wanna take the lirr, to avoid crazy subway passengers, from Penn station. Take the "port Washington line" to flushing "main st" a bit $$ (Less walking) Or you can look for a shuttle bus from China town to flushing for 3-4$. At Chinatown, near "Confucius Statue" (Google it). The drivers don't wanna speak English. Just say "flushing" and they know where u wanna go. They will kick u out at the last stop which is where u want to be. Near the flushing library. **also there is a shuttle bus to Brooklyn Chinatown if you want to go there also. It's about the same price. I personally prefer to commute in the shuttle bus because I don't have to transfer trains and I don't like dealing with strange passengers.
