Horseshoe Smokehouse

Brisket was smoked 1/8" at the outer edge, the entire inside was cooked well done to rubbery consistency. Sauce was saccharine and mono-dimensional. No sweet tea, or even brewed iced tea. The spicy mac 'n cheese was tasty. But it's not a smokehouse.

Pork butt with Carolina sauce is amazing! Also enjoyed some of my husband Jalapeño Grits. Great discovery on our drive today.

The food is pretty good if you're in the area, but nothing special. Customer service here is terrible. When they screwed up my order,, I had to wait in line behind two other people who were missing food. Unbelievable. With superior BBQ joints nearby, I don't think I"ll be back.

I love their beer selection! Customer service was excellent! I come in every week!

I took my crew here for lunch. There were two other people in the restaurant and it still took 35 minutes to get our food, which was $50 for the 4 of us without a tip. The food was ok, until 3 of us got sick from the brisket. I went home from work early not realizing why I wasn't feeling good. I talked to my workers later and one had thrown up three times, while the other was feeling nauseous and lightheaded. I called horseshoe to let them know they had a problem. I won't be eating here again, as I don't trust the food to be safe for consumption.

I understand that BBQ is typically heat a serve. Unfortunately, the Horseshoe forgot the Heat part. Everything came out cold! Taste: okay; Setting: good; Hopeful about the place but they need to pull it together.

Under new ownership? The quality has gone way down. They changed the french fries (seasoning on them now), the pork was not the same, and the portions were paltry. Mostly grizzle and burned fat. Very disappointed. It had been about 6 months ago since we last visited, something must have changed and not for the better.

Food was great. When Founders is full of hipsters trying to be hip and you can't find a seat, check this place out.

They got rid of the squash and bacon hash! It was my personal favorite. The food is good. Unfortunately everything in the store went up in prices :/

This is not a true smokehouse. We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday night. They were sold out of everything except the brisket sandwich and ribs. After placing our order, it took 45 minutes for our food to come up. The only side we ordered was fries.... so not sure what took so long.The brisket was the worst brisket I'd ever had. It was cut in chunks that were mostly fat, not sliced like brisket should be served. And the ribs were nothing but burnt fat. They tasted like they were charred over a grill....not smoked.

The food is awesome, but the atmosphere is odd. I don't like the open go-up-to-the-table-to-order feel. It just feels tacky. Beer is served in plastic cups, meat tastes expensive, everything else feels cheap. We had our company Christmas party here and it was perfect, but I'd be wary of eating here normally. Meat was great, brussel sprouts were super salty. Come here for meat, not veggies.

We had my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary here and it was GREAT!!! The food was terrific and everyone had a good time. We recommend renting it for your next party or gathering. Thank you Horseshoe Smokehouse!!! You're the best!

When they first opened this was an awesome restaurant. Suddenly the food got really inconsistent, you didn't know what it was going to taste like from visit to visit. Then they suddenly started closing the restaurant in the middle of the day with no real hours. I would go on my lunch break because I work really close and it will be closed at 1. So the hours became really inconsistent. I just decided not to go here anymore it was too much drama for lunch.

Great BBQ. Casual dining. Fair prices.
