Hops Burger Bar

2nd review: Went again to give them another chance This time it was amazing! So changing my review to 5 stars! Everyone needs at least another chance! Wait staff was nice and crab cakes were awesome! 1st review : Very crowded know room to really eat or stand.Had to sit at bar right next to counter where they pick up drinks. People reached over me while eating was not a good experience. Food was good priced pretty high for hamburgers. Need to go when not so busy. Parking is awful only 5 places to park. Have to park above it.

First of all, this isn't a big place. I would call it "cozy." But it is comfortable and not too loud or crowded....at least that's how it is on a Monday at lunch time. The staff is friendly and attentive and want to make sure you are enjoying your food. The main thing here is burgers, of course, so I'll focus on that. I had the classic, with a fried egg added, since I needed a burger made with 3 different animals obviously. The patty was thick, but properly cooked and juicy. And it wasn't so juicy that the bun became soggy and difficult to handle. It was made quite well and tasted great, and I would get it again, along with the red onion rings I had as an appetizer. However, the only complaint I have is about the fries. They say the fries are hand cut and beer battered, but they had the texture and taste that was almost identical to Burger King fries, albeit a little better. They just seemed like they were frozen, not fresh, and I probably wouldn't get them again.

My wife and I do not get to go out very often. We tried Hops Burger Bar for the first time and had a wonderful experience not to mention amazing food! Kind staff, clean, and an amazing dinning experience overall! We will definitely eat there again and again. Highly recommend!
