Great German style food & beer! Friendly and quick service. Definitely worth the visit.

Well all the people were really friendly. The Barmaid was great & so friendly & told us about all the specials. Never waited for a drink was always on top of everything at the bar (So sweet). Married 38 yrs. Today just dropped in on a whim nice place would return.

Hosted my bachelor party dinner and it was a great time. Gave us an entire room for the group and gave amazing service. Great German menu, beer list and ambience.

Great place for our work luncheon. Service was very good. Had the Oxford Burger. It was so very good. It was cooked perfectly. Not really a kids place though. Great for teenagers on up.

We came to this restaurant for lunch. we heard about this restaurant from quite a few people. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members were extremely nice and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we will visit this place again. Warmly recommended.

The beer selection is great, but the menu choices are limited. The food is good though, with fun names like the Burgermeister Meisterburger.

Went for brunch. Food was good, portions were sufficient, didn't have a problem with service. Word to the wise: if you're ordering a blood mary make sure to ask for it spicey so it doesn't taste watered down.

SERIOUSLY disappointed. I made a mistake by planning moms birthday brunch there. We were the first table there and arrived to a dirty and an unprepared staff. My husband had to get his own drink from the bar. We waited for butter and sausage for my mother's breakfast for so long, by the time it came she was pretty much done and it was raw on the inside. Then she asked for another cup of coffee and my husband watched our server top *her* coffee cup off then told my mother she had to brew another pot. Unfortunately, both my husband and I have been in the restaurant industry for a combined total of 40 + years. I know Sunday mornings are a hit or miss but it would have been an amazing swing out of the park had she just acted like she wanted to be there. By the way, the food was okay. I wont go back.

Food and service were very good

We've been going here for years. Absolutely phenomenal German food, a great beer selection, and friendly service. The inside looks like a traditional German restaurant without going over the top. The sausage/wurst platters, Jagerschnitzel, and other dishes are hearty, savory, filling, and delicious. Their salad bar is fresh and more convenient than waiting for it to come to you if you're hungry. I heard a rumor they may be turning into an Irish pub. I really hope that's not true, pubs are a dime a dozen, fantastic German restaurants like this are a lot harder to come by!

It's got a good beer selection, and decent food. The service was fine as well. When I went (December) they were playing the worst Christmas music possible the entire time, very loudly. Just very generic Christmas music. It bothered my friends and I so much that we spent like $30 on the jukebox. When I visited (only once so take this with a grain of salt), it just seemed very adequate to me, especially when I compare it to it's "sister" bar the Grey Lodge (same owners, or business partners or something like that). Overall this place is fine. I can't highly recommend but I wouldn't avoid it either.

Hop Angel is very good. Great variable beer selection, delicious regular menu, good German authenticity. Friendly service every time. Most items you order will be superb. The most recent time I went, however, the coleslaw was swimming in mayo. And, once upon a time, I could order a .5L glass of Franziskaner when they had it it on tap. That option is gone. If these things were fixed, it would definitely be a 5-star eatery. As things are, it's still excellent.

Delicious food. Just a little pricey and the menu is a little on the small side if someone is not totally a German food lover.
