By far the best ribs and brisket, oh heck, just the best food around. If you want true southern comfort food at its best, do yourself a favor and go hungry when you go. They look after you like they were feeding you at their own home. Thanks for the excellence.

The food is top notch and the staff is super friendly! The person waiting on a to-go order ahead of me had a special order. Someone in the group had celiac disease. The staff went the extra mile to be sure the food was prepared safely and anything that might have come in contact with gluten was boxed separately. This place is a hidden gem, and I would recommend them to anyone craving some good BBQ.

Don't let the street view rule this one out, it is truly a remarkable establishment. Was my first time here since I'm from the hickory area and will definitely be sure to stop in any time I'm near the area. Far better than the smokehouse's near my area. We had ribs, okra, corn fritters, brisket and a couple of wings, all were exceptional. I enjoyed that they had all of the bbq sauces in the open to try as you please, I tried several but I found it saddening to cover up that all so good smoke flavor. Great food with super quick and good service, just wish I had one that wasn't an hour and a half away!

We celebrated a 90th birthday party at the smokehouse and everyone enjoyed dinner. From brown sugar ribs and pulled pork sandwiches to corn fritters, jalapeno baked beans, and fresh cobbler, the smells and tastes were awesome. Sam and Susan Platt provide plentiful servings for excellent prices. Open Tuesday through Saturday, you'll always come away stuffed and content.
