Honjin Soba Asakusa

Nice area for quick meal of soba/udon. Purchase can be done using vending machine, collect ticket then wait inside for number to be called, self tray-return.

Walked in on a whim. Vending machine outside had pictures so ordering wasn't difficult. Had tsukemen topped with pork slices, which I'd never seen back home. Pretty good! Generous portions. Highlight though was the guy running the shop - really nice and helpful.

We found this place while strolling along the street and decided to go in. The atmosphere is quite and easy going. We ordered the pork cutlet on rice and soba and the beef soba. The dishes were perfect in every way, very very delicious. They were also served quickly and the prices are low. There is a menu in English of you need one. Worth coming if you are in Asakusa, don't miss it.
