Honest Abes

One of the best dang burgers I've ever had. This ain't no "grab a bite to eat and hit the road" kinda burger place. These burgers deserve respect. They deserve all your attention and focus. They deserve love and affection. Because that's what they show your taste buds; pure, delicate, tender love.

I loved it! I had the Louisiana Purchase and I went in with doubts and thinking "hey, try something new" and I am SO glad that I did. It took me by surprise and transported me back to my southern roots and I smiled. We also got some of the shakes like Bananarama, Birthday Cake, Double Dutch Chocolate, and a Root Beer Float (went with my kiddos) and they were spot on. Not much to look at, but that is not what I was looking for. I was happy with the price, I was happy with the portions, and the service was great and friendly. I would probably make it a stop anytime I go to Lincoln.

10 out of 10 recommend! By far, it's one of the best burgers I've had. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Cool place with great food presentation, but I was really disappointed with the lack of flavors on the burger. Bland patty, and all the toppings were either flavorless or just a sweet sauce. I need some acidity on my burger (pickles, raw onion, cheddar, etc)

Picked up burgers and salad here for lunch on our last day in Lincoln, Nebraska. Best meal we could have picked for the road-trip out. My fiance and I both got the Esther's Tropical Misadventure - mine was grilled chicken patty and his was beef. Toppings: Canadian Bacon, Orange Marmalade, Spinach, Potato Sticks, Marley Sauce (mayonnaise/sour cream/jerk seasoning/lime/spices). To be honest, we both loved our burgers. Only difference between them was that the chicken breast was more dense and burger felt more substantial. His absolutely just melted away (in a good way). All the toppings went so well together with the burger. We were not expecting that - But I guess considering this is the 4th, Honest Abe's experience we've had, We should have known it would be good. We also got side salads with Abe's dressing. I usually go for the sweet apple vinaigrette but went for Abe's this time after realizing that it was a subtle curry flavored dressing. Such a good one!

Woah! What a great burger place! I'm not from around here, but I'm gonna be back anytime I'm in town. I got the burger with apples. It was super flavorful and perfectly cooked. The parmesan truffle fries were also better than most restaurants. The staff was super friendly and helpful. When they didnt have the ingredients to make the burger I ordered, the dude from the kitchen came to my table to make sure I got another burger that I would be interested in. Talk about great service. My only regret is that I didnt get double patties. Next time I know. Thanks guys!

Had lunch there again visiting the downtown Lincoln area just before Labor day weekend. In town for the next weeks Solo Nationals. will be back again. Great lunch place, had burger/fries, awesome.

This might be the best burger I've ever had. Stopped in Lincoln on a road trip and this was our choice for quick, quality dinner and it did not disappoint. We got the Genghis Khan and the Greatest Burger Ever and both were memorably delicious. Parmesan truffle fries were also great. The branding is consistently Abe, down to the Gettysburg Address cups. A really enjoyable experience overall with friendly staff, quick service, good ambiance in downtown Lincoln, and overall great value.

Amazingly delicious juicy burgers. Got the awesome sauce on the side and ended up putting it back on the burger.lol. so hard to find juicy burgers ❤❤

Amazing burgers served here. Very friendly staff and good service. I like that the menu rotates so there are always different options to choose from. The chicken sandwiches here are also worth a try.

Great food. Tasty burgers and fries! Fair price and quick service. We always stop at Honest Abe’s when we’re in Lincoln! My kids love it as well. Please open a location in Omaha!!!

i love this place soo much and i'm something of a cheeseburger expert (lol). but seriously, i love their ever changing menu and truffle fries. my favorite burger place ever. i should give it 4 stars because they don't have any locations in Omaha...but no, i could never give them anything less than 5 stars. this place rules. Update- I got the Louisiana Purchase Burger today and it was AMAZING. You should always try the special burger. JUST DO IT.

Okay, listen. The burgers here are fantastic and rotating and always have crazy combinations of flavors that I would never think taste good together, but then you try it and are transported to another plane of existence. All of that is true. But, the birthday cake milkshake is a thing of great beauty and triumph. I'm not sure how they do it, but it somehow tastes exactly like a birthday cake in milkshake form in the best kind of way. Yes, order a burger. But also, order this milkshake. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Great atmosphere with a delectable burger selection. They have 5 burgers to choose off of their everyday menu, along with a weekly special. The whole menu is al a carte so you're able to pick and choose what you would like. To go with freedom fries or parmesean truffle fries, you can also choose from a selection of baked potatoes. For the sweet toothes, there also is delicious milkshakes. I've had a couple burgers from them and have not been disappointed yet. I do preder their freedom fries over the truffle due to the fact that the seasoning was clumpy and not spread out to well.
