Home Run Inn Pizza

This place is a Chicago Classic. This is one of my favorite pizza places to go to. When I have friends from out of town and they want Chicago pizza I always ask if they want deep dish or regular, and if they don't want deep dish I take them here.

This restaurant is my first choice place. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. Whenever I feel like having a superb supper, this place comes straight to my head. outstanding and all kinds of food and a rich menu.helpful team, and great ambience. Also, the tariff is good. I sent my friends to this place with no doubt.

Excellent service which matches to brand new, and excellently designed building. Much improved parking, roomy booths, large TV monitors giving lively but comfortable "Ambiance." Long time customers will be pleasantly surprised at the improvements. As a customer since the 1960's periotic change from the original "Store Front Edifice" is the norm, but this is the best yet.

Very clean and accessible spot. They offer big portions and for reasonable prices. We enjoyed the meals very much and the staff were very amiable and explanatory. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Love the new renovation that they've done the place looks fabulous & the pizza is still the best in Chicago. The original home run inn pizza on 31st . No matter how many they build none can compare to the 1st one the original one. Once you go there you'll see what I mean 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 that place was just there last weekend I'll also be getting my wings and pizza from the original home run inn pizza for my New Year's Eve countdown

A bit crowded, had to eat at the bar. The bartender Adrian was friendly and helpful. Took awhile to finally get my pizza, but it was definitely worth the wait. So Good!!

Not impressed. This was my 1st time here. It was a Friday night and pretty busy so there was a wait to be seated, which is fine. Once we were seated we waited at least 15 minutes for menus. About 45 minutes for our food and not all of it came at once. We ordered a basket of fries to share between my family of 4. Our server brought 1 container of ketchup...for 4 people. We asked for more and never got it. We ordered a large pizza, an 8 inch and a kids. The large came first, the kids came about 20 minutes later and the 8in never came. Our server did compensate for 8in by giving us 3 individual slices. Overall, the pizza was fine, service was not good. Can't say that I'll go back.

Another dynastic family owned (since 1947 )pizza parlor.With a new building it lost its Chicago neighborhood flavor and is now more suburban kitsch.In fact this empire is now headquartered in Woodridge Il.Food quality good.Poorly trained youngsters not professional servers.Decor,imitation industrial.Pricing astonishing.Nearly $50 for a 16in pizza,1 beer,and 1 soda($2.79) of course with tip. Parking easy.AWARDED 1.5 YUMS ON A SCALE OF 3

My family and I frequented the old home run inn and the remodel is awesome. Very modern. A tad brighter than I was used to. The pizza was a little on the saucy side but tasted good. No military discount. That's a little disappointing in this day in age. Overall though it was good. Edit: There was a misunderstanding with the staff. Restaurant management reached out to me to let me know that there is, in fact, a 15 percent military discount. The waiter that took care of my family and I was just misinformed. The fact that they reached out was much appreciated, as such I have given them the 5 stars they deserve.
