Hingham Lobster Pound

Food is great, but the value is no longer there. We often go to this place. During my most recent visit, I discovered that the price has gone up and the volume has been cut in half. The fish platter is half the size of what it used to be. The grilled shrimps are $18 for a skewer of 8 mid-sized shrimps!!!! That is about $2 per shrimp. I am very disappointed.

Great food! I suggest ordering ahead of time for pick up as they do get very busy. But worth the wait!

I've been coming here for more than 50 years, originally as a child with my family, now as an empty-nester with my husband, usually on the way home from the beach. The fried seafood is delicious and the onion rings are the best! Only downside is there's no place to eat on site, so drive to a close park or even eat in the car while the food is hot, like we usually do!
