Highrail, Southern Eatery

This is a very good place for Sunday Brunch but they also have other items. I enjoyed the HighRail Bacon burger with pimento cheese.

Good Food, attentive staff. Nice sit down restaurant in a small town devoid of choices. They are good even though they don't have any competition in that market.

Delicious as usual and we always enjoy the music!

We saw the Highrail brochure at the hotel and looked it up. We were happy to see they were open late as it was almost 8pm and we could check out the menu and prices online. We found it easily 3 miles away. As recommended by other reviews, we got the fried green beans which were great, crispy and not greasy. We ordered bacon cheeseburgers. Although overcooked, we were glad to have fresh made burgers. Hubby wasn't a fan of the matchstick fries but I loved the homemade sweet potato fries that were sprinkled with a little cinnamon sugar. Our server brought us rolls that were tasty but very dry. The train decor was fun to look at and it was fun to listen to the trivia game. Our server was very attentive and prices were reasonable. The only annoying thing was the gnats or fruit flies around our table. We also heard the couple two tables down from us also smacking at them. We will return again next time we are in the area.

You can't beat $2 mimosas for brunch. Also, the cheesy grits were amazing!!! We enjoyed our brunch. We got the chicken and waffles, seafood fritters and my hubs got the pork chop and eggs. We were not disappointed. Very glad Thomson finally got a spot like this!

The dessert was wonderful. We wanted a dessert to go with coffee. The chocolate chip cookies were just baked and the vanilla ice cream just set it off to be wonderful. Was on vacation with my son that lives there. Great place!

Never had been there before and was so glad I had lunch there today. Just happened to be in Thomson GA for business at lunch time. Read the glowing reviews and decided to go there. Everything is so clean and the service is great. The menu has a lot to choose from and everything is made from scratch. I had a shrimp po boy with sweet potato fries and a salad. Very gourmet type food in a small town reasonably priced. The decor was really pretty with a relaxed environment. Will be back there next time I am in Thomson.

Decent price, they have an amazing burger it's just so juicy, and I love the fried mozzarella!
