HighBrow Wood Fired Kitchen + Bar

Stopped by for a after dinner birthday treat. We had to leave due to an personal issue but the staff was so accommodating and concerned. We boxed up our dinners and enjoyed them later. They were all very good but the prices are a bit on the high side for the what you got. Still worth the visit for the food and staff.

Awesome pizza! Definitely an upscale place. I really liked the open kitchen and seeing the variety of dishes they were serving up. I knew I wanted pizza but wanted to try something else along with it. The waitresses (Wilona) recommended the Sticky Ribs and they didn't disappoint. They were like Asian Pork Belly with a sweet heat! The Duck Pizza (Shredded Duck Confit, Caramelized Onion, Goat cheese, Fig Jam, Arugula, Aged Balsamic Vinegar) had a thin crust that was slightly weighed down at the tip by the number of toppings but I didn't care because everything blended well and was delicious. My friend tried a slice and his eyes widened a bit as he nodded in approval while scarfing down the rest of it! Definitely a place to check out alone, with friends or on a date. Arnold Schwarzenegger said it best... I'll be back.

Super talented Chef, and polished staff. High level of care. Interesting menu, with exceptional delivery. Anything from a simple flatbread pizza, to an intricate Italian dish. Whatever mood strikes you...

Best Margherita Pizza that I've had in the area. Absolutely fantastic. Great value as well. Highly recommended.

Amazing food here. Literally the best I have eaten in some time. Super friendly staff that really made my anniversary dinner awesome. We will most definitely be returning customers. If your looking for delicious intimate dining or a quick bite this is the place to go! Way more than just pizza!

Great food! The owner is super nice and our waiter went above and beyond each time we have been there. Highly recommend.

Pretty good thin crust pizza. I was able to try the mushroom truffle as well as the duck pizza. Overall good crust and interesting toppings. My one complaint was the duck was a little sweet with the fig jam which wasn't appropriately balanced with savory duck. The truffle mushroom was superb.

I had high expectations for their pizza before we went but was somewhat disappointed. There was way too much cheese on the pizza and the edges were overcharged because they were flat, that is, the dough didn't rise on the outside edge as it does in most pizzas. there was one small area where he did rise and that was great. I am hopeful that they will start creating pizzas more like true Italian pizzas that aren't overloaded with cheese.The restaurant is pleasant but quite noisy – they really need some acoustical damping material on the ceiling. The noise was so loud that there were times when we really couldn't talk to each other.

Great food Great atmosphere great service. Sticky Ribs is the App. To go for. My NY Strip was cooked to perfection nice and juicy. Wifes sausage pasta was great. Highbrow deseves High Praises. Will visit again. Shouts to Chef and Owner Andrew.

Both food and drink were amazing. I have a gluten allergy and there were plenty of options including beer, pizza, and pasta that I could have! Our waitress seeemed a bit confused on the gluten free pizza we ordered and actually provided us with a normal pizza, when asked if it was gluten free she did ensure that it was (it looked too good, I should have caught this myself). After finishing our meal we consulted the manager and another waitstaff, again my own fault for not doing it sooner. The manager was extremely apologetic, gave us a gift card, and expressed his understanding because his wife has the same allergy.... he even offered to drop off food the next day if I wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t cook! The restaurant was fantastic and accommodating. PSA to gluten intolerant people eating at a restaurant such as myself, check, double check then enjoy your meal! Will definitely give it another go!

Best dining in Downtown Northampton! Lovely experience.. Their menu caters to everyone - vegan, gluten free and vegetarian friendly!

Love a place where you can get a pizza loaded with fresh veggies. Average GF pizza crust and they do offer a GF pasta if you are so inclined but I haven’t tried that yet.

My husband and I wanted to share a new dining experience with out-of-state guests. I had heard from someone now living in Europe that Andrew Brow, one of his former high school classmates, had just opened a restaurant in Northampton: HighBrow. We decided to check it out. We were surprised to see how busy the new restaurant was, but the wait wasn't long, and we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. There are a lot of tables in a relatively small space, but the acoustics are great; we didn't even notice any of the conversations going on around us. Our server was friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent. Andrew, the owner, personally thanked us for coming. He is as nice as the food is delicious. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which were reasonably priced, and I'm already planning to take two more out-of-state guests to HighBrow next month.

The energy is perfect. Very lively yet classy establishment. I’ve been observing the staff the entire time and they all work like a well oiled machine. The cooks kitchen is open behind the bar so you can watch them cooking and making the wood fire pizzas. Great entertainment! Will definitely be back , I love the overall vibe. No objections to note, good first impression from my perspective.
