Hickory Tavern

I use to love going here. I’d go here at least once a week. But after the experience I had I will never be returning to any hickory tavern again. I’d encourage anyone reading this to skip going here. The staff had poor problem solving skills including the manager. After my experience I didn’t want to go out to eat anywhere for a few months cause of how bad and upsetting it was for me and I hope no one else has an experience like mine. Sadly it’s very upsetting for me to talk about so I won’t be giving any details. I’d also to add I did email this place and told them what happened and why it was very upsetting to me, to help future customers but got no reply back.

Sam was such an attentive waitress as we watched the Clemson game today. She and the manager went overboard to make sure we had the game on and the volume up. Loved the atmosphere, the food, but especially the staff!

Food was Awesome! I tried a new dish & it was great! The service was fast, server was professional and friendly. Ask for Adrian - he was the greatest!!

Arrived at 6:15pm on a Saturday night and there was not a big crowd at all. Sat ourselves in the bar area and were promptly waited on. That’s where it ended. My son and I just ordered wings. After 45 minutes I got up to find the manager. Food was finally delivered cold and I ordered my wings charred, which they weren’t. Worst experience ever. I have been coming here for 3.5 years without a problem and the food has always been good. I will not be coming back, just ridiculous. There are way too many restaurants in the Ballantyne area to settle for this.

I can’t speak to the food or service... never got that far. We went there with a group of hockey kids and parents (25 people). They were busy. I get that. We asked about getting the Hurricanes hockey game on. We were told it was football playoffs and no one cared about hockey. This was supposedly the manager. One... you are going to tell me you can’t put one tv on the hockey game for 25 people... and two... do you really think that is the way you should respond as a manager? That’s ok, Red Robin down the street were more than happy to take our money.

Amazing service, prices, and food! We are from Chicago so we enjoyed the lively vibe. These loaded nachos were only $7!

Great place to go hang out whether your grabbing food or a drink. The bartender Leanne was possibly the best bartender I’ve ever had. She was extremely fast and the drinks tasted amazing. Not to mention she is extremely easy on the eyes. Great place to stop in after work or if you’re just looking for good food and good drinks. I give Leanne and this hickory tavern 11/10 rating. Excellent place and service. Thanks Leanne!!!!!

Love this place! Nothing else like it in Charlotte. Seafood always fresh and lots of options for my picky friends & fam. Earl/Michelle... keep up the great work and thank you!

Food options were good. Service could be better. Leaving off a side order is not good.

I was there on a busy Saturday night and sat at the bar. I ordered hot wings (not charred) as an app and a chz burger w/ fries. The wings came out when I was half way finished with my burger and on top of that, they weren't even my wings. Like I said, they were super busy and it was nothing for me to be upset over. The food was hot and delicious and the bartender did everything he could on his end. I'll be back.
