Definitely get the Mac N cheese and steak frites! The Jalapeño margarita is great as well.

I came for brunch around 5:00 on a Saturday afternoon but was told brunch is only served before 330. (That was my fault for not finding out beforehand). The service is slow. My waiter was inattentive....he never introduced himself or checked on me. A kind woman with glasses and brown hair (not sure if she was the manager) made up for it by telling me what the specials were and getting the check for me when I asked. I ordered a veggie burger and wasn’t impressed. Sorry, but I couldn’t finish it. (Full disclosure: The morning star brand black bean burgers that you can find in the frozen food aisle of any supermarket taste better than this place’s $14 “veggie” burger.) I ate my fries, paid my bill, and left. The other food looks great, though. I would probably come here again, but for brunch and only if I was in the neighborhood. Not going out of my way again.

I finally tried Hickory Lane this past weekend for Brunch. (Reservations recommended, it seems to get very busy) The food was amazing. I also was sitting where I could see the food being prepared and being sent out. Not only did everything smell (and taste) delicious, the presentation was amazing! I was already planning my next trip and what to try next before I had even received my food. What a great hidden gem in the neighborhood!!

This place could be above average. I went their 2 weekends ago for brunch. The food was really good except for a long wavy brown hair in my girlfriends "Kitchen Sink" menu item. The atmosphere is good, noise level is appropriate, servers are friendly... just that hair! I'm not saying hair in food doesn't happen. That's why I gave 3 stars instead of 5. I was reimbursed the cost of my coffee but not the cost of the food item that was contaminated? I understand reality and I'm sure it was an accident.... but I don't have to like it.

My top spot for tasty american food. looking forward to coming back with my friends.

Food, service, and ambiance supurb!

I went here for brunch and it was great! The place is small and often busy so it can get packed. However, it's a little less known than cafe lift and la maude so no lines out the door.Happy eating!

Let me tell YOU! I had never tasted something more heavenly than the smoked mac and cheese that they have. I felt like the flavors exploded in my mouth. It was the best thing to have entered my mouth. I can't even begin to describe how blessed I was to even be in the presence of such a heaven sent creation. You need to eat here. The staff was wonderful and the food was blessed by Jesus himself.

Excellent service, diversified menu, blackboard specials, reasonably priced tasty drinks. But make a reservation, since this small bistro, around 50 seats, fills up quickly.

Our meal was awesome! The cheese grits were to die for and my eggs Benedict was sublime. Nice laid back atmosphere too.
