Hibachi Bistro

Okay so I used to eat here about 10 years ago, and I loved it. BUT as of lately the food has been really garbage. I mean it was average so I decided to give them another shot tonight. I ordered steak teriyaki extra steak right....I get home and see all this teriyaki sauce like ewwww and look and the girl rang me up for Xtra sauce WOW! You cant even take a simple order correctly over the phone. I'm so disappointed. They didnt even bother to chop the onions up I have WHOLE onions in my food and my food was cold. I'm just done with this place period.

I just called for about an hour with no answer. The manager a white guy with dirty blonde hair was very rude to me when I got there. I even tried to order online. No success. For him to say no I said I’m not taking anymore orders and for me to leave not only hurt my feelings, but showed me that he doesn’t have god’s customer service. I will not be going back. He could have tooken my order especially being that we’re all going thru this covid 19 epidemic and we all need a helping hand. All I wanted was to feed my children dinner.

What happened to this place? Years ago it was the go to - it was so dirty. Tables, bathroom, floors and counters. Just depressing when you see a place that looks like what you might expect at a college student's home shared with 5 dudes who only cleaned their home a year earlier because their parents visited and those same dudes are running this restaurant. Can't go back considering while sitting at the table waiting for my food I had to practically physically restrain myself from leaving because I felt like it was probably too risky eating there. But, I got my food and was ecstaticat to see it was at least hot so I stayed and ate. The food was about a 3 out of 5 overall so you can definitely get better for cheaper in Wilmington. Sorry, Hibachi Bistro I'll just have to stick to the memories of when you were awesome. Take care.

It was OK. Not the best and certainly not the worst hibachi I have had. Service was good as the order came up quickly. The workers were very friendly and thanked me for stopping by when I was leaving. A little too much onions in the hibachi, but not over whelming. For a quick bite to eat this is a good place.

Fav place for fast tasty hibachi. I have yet to be disappointed by either the food or portion sizes and I always end up with left overs to take home for snacking later. Great place if you want hibachi with out the whole sit down and watch the show aspect.

As others have stated some of these reviews seem to be a mixture of Hibachi Bistro next to Dollar Tree and the buffet Hibachi Grill Supreme across the street next to Lowe’s Home Improvement. Hibachi Bistro is excellent and have large portions and their sushi is fantastic! I tend to gravitate toward their sushi over other more expensive and “high end” restaurants nearby. The quality of everything I’ve tried there has always been consistent and I love that they have a frequent diner program.The buffet across the street that they seem to be getting confused with is absolutely awful, beware!

Super great hibachi for really great price. Friendly staff and quick service time. I met the owner while working and he was so nice, and even gave me a coupon for a free meal! Generosity goes such a long way, and I will definitely find myself eating here again!

Loved this place, great lunch take out, was easy to order and walk the strip and back to pick up food in 10 minutes. Food was fresh and hot. I was very happy with the service at togo counter

I have never had such bad service from this restaurant. Ordered my food at 5:15 and was told it would be ready at 5:40. I did not receive my food until 6:45, over an hour after they told me it would be ready. On my way home I realized on the receipt they had written “no more” beside the sushi roll I ordered. I was still charged for the roll and was never told that the roll wasn’t available before I left with my food. I went back to ask for a refund or a different sushi roll and was told that it would be another hour wait for a replacement item and that I “should get a refund if they put it in the computer”. Not once was I offered an apology by a staff member. Once I got home my spring rolls were cold. Looks like I will be on the hunt for a new Japanese restaurant because after this service I will NOT be returning.

If you’re reading this during the quarantine...DO NOT come here. Unless waiting 2 hours for your order and then it being wrong sounds fun to you.

Let’s start with the good. The food is pretty good and there is a lot of variety. You also get a decent amount of food for the price. I can usually get 2-3 meals out of one plate. As for the bad...I had to take away a star for cleanliness and a star for timeliness. The tables are usually sticky, there is often food on the floor, and the sauce counter is usually pretty gross. It’s no surprise their sanitation score is a 91. As for speed, don’t be surprised if you order a meal and wait half an hour or more to get it even if it’s not super busy. Once when I was here they completely forgot to make my meal... I was comped but it was still frustrating. My most recent order was placed at 6:29pm, there were only a handful of people in there, and I received my meal at 6:54pm. On most days, don’t count on it being a really quick meal.

This place has really gone down the rabbit hole, placed a pick up order for 4 rolls of sushi and hibachi steak. I get there to pick up the order and sushi was made wrong, then had to wait another 20 mins to correct the sushi, by that time my hibachi steak was ice cold and not even done the way I asked.

I love it here! The staff is always super friendly and the hibachi chicken here is by far better than their competitors! You get huge portions at an affordable price and the never ending white sauce is a key factor in eating hibachi 🤗

Asked for white sauce and utensils on a delivery order, didn’t get any of it and side order of fried rice didn’t come. Just straight up missing a whole item from the order and they even wrote it on the ticket. I can literally read the ticket on the bag that there’s supposed to be a side of fried rice. Real frustrated but there are plenty of other hibachi places in town. I’ll just try somewhere else next time. Coworker mentioned they have had the same issues previously.

Nice people, descent Asian fast-food
