Great breakfast sandwiches, the staff tends to be a hit-or-miss in regards to friendliness. However if you just ask them one question they tend to be very approachable.

a perfect spot for working solo, all of the tables are just the right size for a single laptop and a friend. also the coffees and seasonal special drinks are all super en pointe.

Hi rise has the greatest sandwiches in Boston. Tito's dance moves I will have at least monthly. It's a shame that the prices are fairly steep (14 for a sando is nearly highway robbery), but they are made on the spot and generous proportions. The coffee here is excellent too.

As a former professional chef, I used to order from this Bakery whenever I could in a professional capacity. I now live in Milton but make special trips to The Far Side of Cambridge just to get their bread and always stop there whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Your sandwiches are also excellent. The staff is super friendly. I don't think I've ever had any baked good there that wasn't somewhere between excellent and mind-blowing. Definitely try the cinnamon raisin bread. It is the best you will ever have and you won't even have to put anything on it.

Not bad, but nothing special either. At the end of the day, overrated and overpriced. Unfortunately, this problem is not unique to Hi-Rise, and, as such, it is very much on par with similar bakery / eateries in the area.

Very overpriced for what you get. Soup was completely flavorless and sandwiches were just okay. Menu wasn’t that great, much better options for same price in this area.
