Great experience for a local beer and friends.

Ive been coming to the Heretic since 2013 and have given favorable reviews in the past. Usually, I'd get my growler filled with an Evil Cousin and stay for a pint or two of Priimo just about every Tuesday & Saturday. Today is a sad day because I can longer give them my business. I showed up at 3:55 PM found a chair at the bar. By 4:10 PM not so much as a look my way. They were busy, but not so busy that they didnt have time to stop and have a small conversation amongst themselves or a favored patron. Needless to say, I left and now my growler and my patronage of the Heretic is in the trash. Im not saying they dont make good beer because that would be a lie. But I'm not going to pay good money to be treated like trash. So long Heretic, I enjoyed calling myself a faithful Heretic. Now I'm just disappointed. At least I'm being responsible and recycling my old growler. Goodbye...

They don't get 5 stars because their beer menu is extremely predictable. Not a whole lot of new brews since I was there a handful of months ago. Good beer. Good staff. Plenty of merchandise. Growler fills on almost all of their beers at reasonable prices. Flights are reasonably priced. Nice and clean interior.

A good experience, overall. We took the tour. Lot's of info from Malcolm. He was very knowledgeable, answered all questions and very personable. It took about an hour.The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of the customer service at the counter/bar: there wasn't any. When I first walked up to an otherwise not too bust scene, it took about 3-4 minutes to even be acknowledged. I felt like I was an afterthought. Finally, when she walked over to me, she went right to the cash drawer, where I was standing and STILL didn't say hi. She simply said, "what can I get'cha"!Please, have some enthusiasm. Pretend you like customer service and that you like working here. We're here to spend our money. Make me want to come back!Anyway, the beer is DEElish and food is good.Rant over...

Typically I don’t like beer. But Heretic has several that I like, including Jucier Than Thou, Agony, and Twig & Berries. Yum! Also, tasty shareables on the menu. Brussel Sprouts and Pretzels & Beer Cheese were delicious. There is a Sunday brunch menu (which we missed by about 5 minutes). Recommend!

So beer was great which is holding up this 4 star rating. Smell was pretty much unbearable for me as I have a sensitive sense of smell. Seemed like crazy strong hops smell and was nauseating me and hindering my ability to taste the beers. I had to leave much earlier than I wanted to due to the smell.

Good selection of beer in a large, warehouse-like setting with pleasant off-street outdoor seating (where food vendors used to be). On-site kitchen offering typical fare. Parking is free, but somewhat restricted on weekdays; ample on weekends. There are two EV charging stations on the east side of the building, though on my recent visit one was occupied by a normal car.

Great place...staff very nice and helpful for our first visit. Cheeseburger was delicious and the Evil Cousin was great. I will be back!

Great selection of beers for all palettes. Didn't try their food but all of it coming out of the kitchen looked amazing.

What a great find just outside the gate of Travis Air Force Base. Friendly staff. Order from the bar and sit and enjoy the beer you just got while they bring food to you. I enjoyed their juicy IPA which had a catchy name I wish I could remember. Even better it was one of three citrus IPAs on the menu. Our group of about 30 was able to get tables reserved without issue. If I do find myself TDY in the area again I will be back.

Fantastic brewery, seems to grow and improve each time I visit. Plenty of new variety but they keep the staples on tap for us who arn't as adventurous.

So many awesome beers you can't go wrong. Has a nice open and relaxed atmosphere. All the food I had was great. I cannot think of a single negative thing about this place other than it is about 600 miles from my house. also on Mondays you can spin the wheel and win a prize. Tonight I won a free pint.

I'm a huge fan of Micro Beers and Heretic was awesome. My wife brought me here for our anniversary and it very cool. The tour we got was very informative and the tasting afterwards was great. Highly recommend this place.

Met up here to celebrate a couple B-days. There is a bunch of road construction to the brewery, but no fault to them. A ton of room inside with plenty of tables. My group liked the two citrus beers the most. Food is pub style, so tasty and not the healthiest choice. Staff was friendly and quite efficient. There is no table side service, which always surprises me a bit, for we had a very large group. All food and drinks must be ordered at the bar. Great variety of beer and plenty things to do if you are bringing your kids.
