Hemingway's Restaurant

Excellent food and drinks! I had come here with a friend and we both shared the nachos as our starters. The nachos were huge and almost too much for even two people to finish! They were loaded with cheese and toppings and were definitely worth the price. For our mains my friend ordered the lamb burger and I ordered the Cumberland burger. The meat in my burger was cooked to perfection and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes burgers. All in all a decent place to visit if you’re in the Yorkville area.

Have only had drinks here, but the bartender was the best! I barely had to read the menu because he would just suggest drinks that somehow were exactly what I wanted. I guess not everyone would like that, but I like not having to read / decide things sometimes!

The Hemingway this place almost always has a crowd of some sort. When you come here you paying for the atmosphere.The restaurant is a whole has ever three different floors and at the same time as specious. It gives a outdoor patio feel with a roof over top. The service is quite good. The staff here are definitely there to make sure you're having a good time.You'd come to the Hemingway if you want to have a conversation and are planning to get two or more people together. The vibe is energetic and positive.The prices are okay. The food is okay. You're paying for the atmosphere. It's worth it to come by for the beer.

Decent place. There were a lot of interesting decorations on the walls. The entrees are simply to die for. The desserts must be sprinkled with crack because I just craved for more and more. I was happy to see how clean everything was. It could have been perfect, but the waiter made a pass at me. So inappropriate.

Warm welcome, cosy pub atmosphere. Menu had lots of choice with old favourites and a few adventurous offerings. Varied drink menu, lots of good beers and ales. Music volume was perfect for conversation. Recommended. $$

Taste legit. Price is reasonable for the location and atmosphere. Waiter was really kind.

Great place for after work drinks or a casual night out. Have multiple floors and many indoor/outdoor year-round patios. Staff is very friendly, it is best to make a reservation here. Drinks were reasonably priced and quite tasty. Their small bites were also tasty.

Great drinks and fast service. Ambiance is relaxed and chill. Good spot to meet with a small to medium group of friends. Loud music playing, but I'm not complaining. Certainly a large selection of pub favourites on the menu... However we tried multiple things and weren't really impressed with the flavours or quality (fish tacos, sweet potato fries, popcorn shrimp). Considering the area it's in, the place is not pretentious and laid back enough that I'll probably give it another chance at a later date.

Owned by a Kiwi, wait staff are mainly Aussie. Loved the vibe reminded me of home (New Zealand) will all the signage. Food was awesome and the staff were very friendly. Will come back for a tipple on the second Wednesday of the month to see other Kiwis!

Love the atmosphere, beer and food. Lamb shank and Hemingway's Deep Fried Chicken is to die for! My place to go hang with friends when I come into town.

The striploin was okay, mashed potatoes was good, veggies... Meh The fish and chips was delicious, nice and crispy on the outside. The clam chowder was good.The servers are okay, not too attentive.Please feel free to follow me on IG Mandilicous for food and lifestyle posts

Hemingway's is a pretty spacious Kiwi inspired Restaurant + Bar, they have been posted for having one of the nicest patio's in Toronto. And having that location in Yorkville makes it that much better. Looking forward to coming back during the summer season to fully enjoy the open patio and overall experience. Only came in for a couple of drinks with a couple of friends and had a great experience.

We went for the himym trivia night and it was a really good time. For the trivia, every team was very competitive and got fairly high scores, so make sure you know a lot about the subject. The themed drinks were cute, but I really wanted to see the drink The Scherbatsky/ the Minnesota Tidalwave from the show. The food portions were really big and tasted good. I recommend the chicken sandwich. The bar staff had a really friendly vibe, like they were really close. It feels like a bar where the regulars would know one another.

Great place to get a quick and relatively reasonable priced bite in Yorkville. Definitely one of the Yorkville staples. They serve up classic bar food with New Zealand twist which is refreshing. Very large patio for the summer and in the winter it’s covered and heated. Because it has a lot of space, it’s easy to find seating. Also have theme nights (e.g. trivia) some times so definitely recommend to check it out.

When I arrived upstairs, the terrace was bustling and very noisy. The ambiance was festive with mostly a young hip crowd. The staff although very solicited is very helpful and nice. I was sitting at a big table with at least 20 people around it. Wine and beer seemed to be the favourite drinks with nachos, delicious fries, pieces of pizza...à great time except for the noise.
