Helm's Ale House

We stopped here as a pit stop on a road trip. I can’t say enough about this place. Incredible food, amazing staff, epic vibe. If we lived in town, it would be our local hang out for sure! 100% recommend! Live music was an exceptional treat. Dude should be playing somewhere big!

We went looking for another place to eat but they were closed so we tried Helms and boy am I happy we did. The place has it's own unique atmosphere, the staff was friendly & the food was awesome. The portions were big but the prices weren't. Very helpful when we asked for suggestions on beers. We live in Livermore but the trip to eat there is well worth it. Cant wait to go back.

I didnt want to 5 stars this place because then everyone would steal our favorite spot to go. The steak is the best in town, staff is always friendly and amazing to us! 5 stars isnt enough I love this place!

Great place to have a meal or If you drink plenty beers on tap and other anything and live music though I miss Dave Helms his sarcastic wit not to mention I grew up in Hayward where he was a cop! Lil older then me usualky caught me off campus truant lol. When I walked in that bar after it was opened I had no idea it was gonna be officer helms yikes lol He was awesome. RIP my friend

We had an extraordinary experience in this place. We liked the nice vibes and the food. The waiters are super friendly. I’m glad we eventually decided to visit here.

Dropped in here for a beer, or three :) Service was great, beer was cold and tasty. Would definitely go back.Update, I went back and I got food. It was good. This place is definitely in my rotation now.

Good food and good beer. Sat at the bar and had a great service. Bartender was really friendly and was the assistant manager. Great vibe and will go back for sure

First time eating here. Great experience all around. I had the Jack Daniel's burger, PERFECT! My girlfriend had the Lemon chicken scalloping, Awesome! Food was was very very very satisfying.

Delicious and the service was amazing! Patrick, the general manager who served us as well, was so very nice and on it. Would most definitely recommend this cute spot for anyone looking for a great bar with great food!

The jalapeño burger was fabulous! Fresh jalapeños, not the canned ones others use. The meat mixed with the consistency of a meatloaf (which I love), friendly staff and an exceptional mixed beverage of tangerine beer, pear cider and orange juice... Don't know what it's called but I like it!

Food is good but service can be slow.
