Heidi's Island Bistro

It was worth the drive from Cape Coral. My partner was craving German food on Sunday and this seemed to be the only spot open for lunch. The server was friendly and efficient. Food was tasty and portions were just right. I had potato pancakes and red cabbage and he had Nurnberg Bratwurst and spaetzle. Apple strudel with vanilla ice cream topped off the meal.

Competent and comfortable German eatery featuring affordable and very good food served promptly by our friendly and informative waitress. Good German draft brews and a nicely selected wine list. The apple strudel with ice cream for dessert is notable.

I've been to Heidi's several times and always have a great experience. Always a great meal at the best German restaurant this side of the Atlantic. Meals are delicious. Staff is friendly and amazing. Highly recommend!!!

Delicious home cooked German food with attentive friendly staff. Cold German beers. Fabulous dessert. I had the veal Jaeger Schnitzel, spaetzle & red cabbage. My husband had the beef burgundy with Spaetzle & red cabbage. We had the apple keuchle with with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious.

Great place with delicious, authentic german food and fantastic service. We spent a wonderful evening there. Highly recommended if you like Schnitzel, Pretzels and german beer.

Authentical great German food

This place is delicious. The potato soup was the best I’ve ever had, and the Gypsy schnitzel just a perfect balance of flavors. Heidi herself was our server, and she was so warm and welcoming. She was giving all the regular customers hugs and making time to chat with everyone. Her husband is the chef. We had the apple strudel for dessert, which was also delicious. Make sure you stop here!

Was not expecting to find good German food so close to the beach. Definitely worth trying if you like this type of food.

Don't let the basic setup fool you, the food is amazing and the hospitality warm and inviting. We were a party of 8 and everyone loved their meal. The owner (there really is a Heidi) stopped by multiple times to check on us. Easy to miss from the street but worth hunting for.

My new favorite food stop on Ft. Meyers Beach!! Me and my 13 Year old found this gem on our last day of vacation. Rueben was amazing. Wings and fries were perfect and crispy. Heidi was very friendly and the staff was great! Will be back next year for sure!
