Food and service is always consistent. My husband and I love to have our breakfast dates here.

My wife's favorite place to eat breakfast in the Chicagoland area so far. I personally enjoy the fried catfish, cheese eggs & grits. The customer service is pretty good, the restaurant itself is well maintained and the food is pretty good. Happy Traveling 😊

My Lil Sis Took me out for some breakfast although l pass by this place a million times had never been there but it was nice, glad it wasn't crowded? Our Waitress was nice & Our Food came Quick & Hot? 👍

We went at about 730a in the morning so it was pretty empty. Only 1 or 2 other tables the entire time we were there. I mention that to say I feel like the service could’ve been better. The server was very nice and polite however whenever I needed something I don’t know where she was. She went behind the wall and returned when I was nearly finish with my food. I needed a refill on my drink. I ordered the Louisiana Chicken Skillet. It was pretty good. I did need to add some salt, pepper and hot sauce but I’m sure those are my preferences. I did feel like it lack a bit of flavor so that’s why. I had the side pancakes with it. And honestly I wish I had ordered the toast. For me there was nothing special about these pancakes they weren’t even fluffy. However overall it was a nice and quiet breakfast experience. I’d rate the food about 7 out of 10 and the service the same.

They even cook eggs correctly on to-go orders!!! Usually when I order something with eggs on to-go orders, OTHER PLACES overcook the eggs (trying to avoid potential confusion with the caps). So certainly, if you're like me and you find overcooked eggs in your to-go orders from other restaurants, order from Hearty Cafe next time, they will not disappoint!

The last time I ate here about a year ago, all of my food tasted like old grease. Unless they have a new cook, I won't be going there anytime soon. I was at the eye dr next door when my phone pinged me of being at the restaurant.

This food IS GOOD! I ordered through Door dash and they always get your order right. 2ND time I ordered it was late but for some reason, my food was still FRESH! they give you plenty of food no matter what you order. It's expensive but soo worth it! Try it!

This is usually my go to local breakfast spot. On this specific day the waitress Brenda seemed to be having a bad day. When asked for something she walked away without saying a word. Upon her retuning she slammed the plate down. Spoke to me with extreme irritation. I informed the owner that I no longer wanted her to serve us. He then began taking over. Towards the end of the meal my daughter found hair in her hash browns. We informed the manager and nothing was done.... That was the last time I will spend my money along with my family and friends...

Yummy food Great service 😋

First time there, food just ok. Place needs to be close for good cleaning. I had to for them clean the table and floor before I could sit. Not a good first impression. Sit in a booth I could see old food on wall of the booth. Staff pleasurable.

Delicious food, good service, I definitely recommend it! The omelettes were definitely the highlight of my visit, and I enjoyed the pancakes served alongside it as well. I would absolutely love to come back again!

My entire dish was delicious. My eggs were perfectly scrambled medium, the grits were great after I added my butter and sugar. LOL. Blueberry pancakes are my favorite and they had a good taste and crispy bacon to top it off. It took longer than it should have to get my food. Someone that came in after me was served first and we basically ordered the same thing.
