I have had a lot of Indian food in Manhattan, and this place is by far my favorite. The dishes are flavorful, and consistently good, even after multiple visits. I recommend the samosas and the mushroom chicken. I find myself eating here a couple times a month. Also available for delivery!

Went for the first time with my sister from LA (who is a connoisseur of Indian Food) and dear friends from NJ. Had a spectacular dinner. Service was great. Even the Parking was easy. Great prices and even better food! True authentic Indian Food with an extensive menu and a great prix fix menu. Real glad we tried it!

In my honest opinion, this place is one of the few Indian restaurants which offers authentic Indian Food. The curries are wonderfully spiced with less amount of watery gravy. I tried the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken 65 which was impressive. My favorite was the Mango Lassi. It's delicious.

Wow! I came in here with my wife for lunch the other day and was blown away by the quality and price of their lunch special. I've been searching for a great Indian food restaurant in lower Manhattan for the last year, and Heart of India is the first that makes me want to return again. The space is quite large compared to most other local restaurants, and it has charming details on the walls and ambient lighting, which make it a great date spot. The service was great as well. :) I highly recommend!
