A great local place with a variety of drinks and foods. It has a nice atmosphere and that wonderfully eclectic charm of NoHo.

Love the vibe at this place, and the downstairs seating area, while definitely an accessibility barrier for some, is a great place to study or meet friends for a snack or smoothie. Really tasty beverage options, beautiful and yummy pastries, but I have been disappointed by some of the lunch entrees here. Would definitely go back for the atmosphere and drinks, though.

I miss this place so much. Haven't been in Northamton for 10 plus years. I remember the days when they had the old chairs down stairs with chess boards and you could smoke. The restaurant has always had great food and the owners are great people. I remembers when the brothers would work with the homeless in town.

I like this place, but it can feel a bit standoffish if you're a dude. One girl said I made really intense eye contact, which is a strange thing to say. I might have been really stoned, so who knows? Food includes tip, so you don't have to worry. Love the chamomile cheesecake. They welcome homeless people here, so it's a very open environment and I feel they make a real impact on helping people make ends meet.

This vegetarian café helped me survive the winter with their Commons account system. When I bounced back, I put $100 into it. I have boundless gratitude for Peter, the owner.

Wow! Great portion sizes for the price and amazing options. Lots of different vegan treats and bowls. I was a kid in a candy store.

Always the best place to grab a snack! A bit warm inside on a hot day but the smoothies cool things off.

This is a nice place to sit down and catch up with friends.

Haymarket is a quintessential Northampton experience. They make some of the best local chai, among a wide array of smoothies, fruit juices, and espresso beverages. Upstairs is the cafe, featuring benches wrapped around shared tables plus some small tables good for 1-2 people. Downstairs is the restaurant, with a great variety of vegetarian dishes. These days you can order a beverage downstairs and they'll bring it to you. (You used to have to go upstairs to order and fetch your drink.) Either part can be an excellent place to focus on doing work, be it schoolwork or work. Haymarket eliminated tipping in favor of raising their workers pay to a living wage, but they accept donations to local charities.

Very impressed. Thought this was going to be a little hole in the wall with decent food, but it's a hidden gem with healthy, delicious eats. I ordered the sambar soup from the downstairs café which was so hearty and divine--a variety of clean, fragrant flavors. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting as a must-go!
