What a great homey place to grab some awesome pierogies. Great vibe, very nice staff, decor is fun, and food is super tasty and excellent prices. Honestly, you can't really ask for a better little lunch spot. Especially if you like Polish cuisine, or just sausages!

Tried the pirogies and fell over, they were so good. Please support a local business with takeout. I can't wait to come back.

A gem in Leslieville, this tiny spot had a delicious offering of home made Polish comfort food. On my visit I had the hungry Tata's plate which let's you sample a cabbage roll, pierogies as well as kielbasa and a version of sauerkraut. The pierogies were also delicious we tried all these kinds; be sure to get the sauteed onions for the maximum experience. Pro tip, go on the weekends for fresh made Polish doughnuts.

Amazing little place serving hearty polish comfort food. Run by a Polish mom and pop who do all the cooking. Great breakfast sandwiches. The Hungry Tata breakfast is huge. The perogies are all handmade and delicious. I didn’t get a chance to sample the cabbage rolls (also made in house) but the person beside us really enjoyed it. Friendly service. Get there early, they only have 14 seats at the counter.

The staff is very friendly and makes a lot of interesting conversations. The atmosphere is quite unique to reflect the family tradition here. The quality of the food is decent. The portion is good enough for an average person. Daily specials are worth trying.

Had two cabbage rolls with a beer. They came with a mildly cured sauerkraut which was heavy on the carrots. The sauerkraut was better than my dad's. The vegetarian cabbage rolls was good. The texture of the lentils, buckwheat and mushroom mixture was as good as the meat mixture but had a but more flavour. All the beer on offer would go well with Polish food. I would recommend this for folks who have some Polish ancestry. Straight forward, home cooking that hits the familiar flavours.

Delicious Polish food. The breakfast is amazing, and the pierogies are wonderful. You really can't go wrong with this place. Not a lot of seating, but the service is fantastic and the decor is homey.

Amazing polish food with a cozy neighborhood vibe. Loved the perogies and cabbage rolls. If you're there on the weekend, do yourself a favour and end your meal with a plum jelly donut.

Hastings Snack Bar is a local restaurant specializing in homemade Polish dishes. A personal favourite is the Hungry Tata’s Lunch featuring a cabbage roll (pork/beef or veggie), a kielbasa, four pierogis, sauerkraut and a pickle. Polish donuts are also available on weekends. Bar seating is available for 12-15 people and they also do takeout. Great local spot with character!

This is down to earth joint that serves Polish comfort food that you don't have to be Polish to appreciate. I loved the perogies, kielbassa, sauerkraut, beets, and cabbage rolls! The portion was almost too big for me to finish. I can't wait to go back and try their beet soup.
