A magical addition to the neighborhood! This restaurant is the type of place where you can take anyone--your grandma, your date, your best friend. A simple menu that's done right (run, don't walk, for the clam toast), in an environment that plays basically the best music while allowing you to actually have a conversation.I can't wait to go back.

Outstanding bread and starters. The place has a wonderful charm. Would've been perfect if our waiter hadn't been unfriendly and inattentive - even getting water refilled took a couple tries. Also, there is not one vegetarian entree option. Bit odd.

This is a cute place with great food and excellent service. I think most of the food is locally sourced(?) It at least tastes very fresh. The dishes are thoughtful and rotate often, and the menu is small enough to fit on one side of paper (which I like). They have a pretty adventurous wine menu as well. The staff seem coordinated and happy, which is not always the case at these kinds of restaurants. It's definitely more expensive than a lot of places in the neighborhood, but you will not be disappointed.

Great cocktails. Good food - really nice place all round

Attractive room - inventive use of small space. Creative food that honors the ingredients, not afraid of big flavors, intense spicing. I like their use of anchovies and sardines in unexpected places, such as grass fed lamb burger with anchovies. Love this place.

Blown away by what I had. Chicken thighs braised to perfection served in gravy and green beans. Server behind the bar guided me to two glasses of wine that suited the dish and catered to my asks. Excited to come back with a bigger stomach!

Consistently the best food to have in Brooklyn. Don't skip it.

A tiny, wonderful restaurant which maintains a wonderful attention to perfectly prepared dishes. No pretense, just a good vibe all around and a sophisticated kitchen that never fails to delight.

Cute, intimate restaurant - they have maybe 8 tables and a 5-seat bar, so wouldn’t advise coming here with a big group. Food was tasty, although flavors weren’t particularly unique or groundbreaking. I ordered the clam toast, lamb burger with anchovies, and olive oil cake. Clam toast was essentially a very garlicky moules marinieres over thick-cut, grilled She Wolf Bakery bread. Lamb burger was very good, with a nice savoriness thanks to the anchovies. Olive oil cake was disappointingly dry and crumbly. Service was good, but a little distant, and portions were tiny. Probably won’t come back but it’s worth a try.

Small, intimate restaurant, pricy but excellent food and wine. Achieves the rare trick of having clearly audible music that doesn't drown conversation.

Great food and wonderful people. The lamb burger is awesome. The food is a little pricey and the space is tight. Overall great vibe and great quality.

A little too intimate, Hart's could really benefit from having one less table. Luckily the food helps you overlook the cramped space. The menu is composed of a mix of small and large dishes that lend themselves well to sharing. Because it's ever changing however, I won't go into specifics as beloved dishes might be gone on subsequent visits.I will say however that the small plates are generally more hit or miss, so I definitely advise to ask the friendly wait staff for their recommendations.

The food was great but wished they had a main / more options without meat or fish

Not only one of the best restaurants in Brooklyn or NYC but perhaps the entire world for what they do. I been here 5 times or more. All great, nice compact wine list and good cocktails. No negatives.
