One of the most famous, and popular, aspects of Bern's Steak House is its dessert room. Here guests can enjoy a leisurely and intimate end to their dining experience choosing from nearly 50 dessert choices to more than 1,000 dessert wines and spirits. The Harry Waugh Dessert Room was built as a tribute to Mr. Harry Waugh, an internationally known and respected wine connoisseur, director of Chateau Latour and good friend to Bern Laxer. Waugh's books and personal diaries on wine tasting are well known throughout the world.

Questions & Answers
Marjory, due to the fact that we hold the tables in the dessert room for diners that are dining for dinner with us, we offer "first-come first-serve" seating for guests not enjoying dinner with us. There may be a wait, but you can always enjoy a drink at the bar in the mean time! Thank you for your understanding.

Yes. They are. Wouldn't suggest you take toddlers or babies, Bern's is pretty expensive, and crying children would be frowned upon.
Jeans are permitted in the dessert room but we do not recommend them for the main dining room.
Yes, the hostess will ask if youd like the tour after dinner. Dessert is a must! Baked Alaska!
