Harmony Cafe

I dig this place. It’s a hole in the wall ( underground) Chinese place in Georgetown that is very vegan friendly. You can have Vegan wonton soup here! I haven’t had wontons in forever! It’s a quick walk over the bridge if you’re coming from VA. You can get in and out pretty quickly. I had the Mongolian/ curry chow fun and it was goood.

This is a fantastic small restaurant. The food is amazing and the decor is beautiful. Too beautiful and wonderful for photos. You must experience this restaurant for yourself.

Very authentic, I loved the place, amazing food with a very tasty options for all different kind of preferences vegy and vegetarian and of course different kind of meats, very cheap beverages a beer for $4, it’s very clean and the waitresses was very nice, not a big place but I find it a definitely spot to visit in gtown

As a lifelong vegetarian, I have thoroughly enjoyed visiting Harmony Cafe over the last 25ish years. I would literally fly to DC just for their vegetarian hot and sour soup. Even in my current city, I can’t get veggie “meats” like they do it. Nothing has ever been better. I have been to China (and had amazing Buddhist vegetarian) and all over the world, and this is easily in the top TWO Chinese vegetarian/vegan restaurants I’ve ever been to. I would often order 6 or 8 hot and sour soups to freeze some for when I had a cold or just wanted a piece of “home”. Keep this place open so I have somewhere to get fried tofu and vege soup that blows my mind. Be patient with service and be rewarded with awesomeness.

Great Vegan options available, fried rice and broccoli and water chestnuts in garlic sauce was very delicious, it was not that spicy. Service is okay.

Never been treated so rudely before. From the moment I said I wanted to place a to go order. She acted like it was the most inconvenient thing in the world. Went from take long long time to 30 maybe 40 minutes. Only one other party in dinning room that hadn't been served yet. Ridiculous! Will see if food makes up for terrible customer service

Harmony Cafe is one of my favorite places to eat in Georgetown. Once you walk down the stairs you're greeted by a wonderful hostess and a fantastic selection of traditional and familiar dishes. And at a great price!

My food was delivered at room temperature, it was edible, but I didn't enjoy/like it. Those with me enjoyed their meal.

This place is delicious, especially as a vegetarian. Everything they have can be made vegetarian with really good meat substitutes, so I always go for the pork fried rice.

Cheap but tasty

I have no idea of the food here is good or not. My daughter and I came in to have appetizers and a drink at 4 o’clock in the afternoon and we were shoo’d away by the lady at the front desk. And the place is empty. She smiled as she was horribly rude to us.

Good place for Chinese food, recommend a Tsingtao for a meal. Goes good with everything. Also the value here is amazing, the shiitake mushrooms are the best.

Very polite and friendly, came back for a second time and was greeted with a smile. She even remembered that my wife and I do not eat a particular food.Most definitely would return and recommend!
