Harlem Tavern

Have to rate 5 stars (even was not so perfect).Great location clean and neat, so good food, nice staff, the outside tables are great for dinner, all the time in the evenings it is so packed - a good sign, it is popular in the neighborhood and famous in the city, that's why we decided to try Harlem Tavern that night. Thank you. It was a good choice. The bad part it was the Epic Noise. Huge terrace with a guess a thousand of customers, all were screaming not talking. You cannot hear your friends, you cannot hear yourself talking, you cannot talk to a server. Insupportable noise of people nonstop screaming. Scream contest. I have left the place with a headache. Could be a good idea maybe to partially divide the terrace with a noise absorbing panels? .....

It was Good for a Mother's Day Brunch for Me, my Big Sister and her Daughter. The food an Drinks was Good, the next time I will make reservations for inside. The Jazz Music was nice to here as well. Will be returning.

Always a great healthy selection of food. Positive energetic atmosphere. Affordable pricing.

Expensive and uninspired. The menu is pretty stock but with the pricing for food and drinks was outlandish. If you serve frozen Sysco items, please price accordingly. I have had better deals at french restaurants in this city. Use fresh food or drop your prices. No one in this area wants to pay these prices for over-processed bar food when there are literally near infinite options a train ride away.

Good food, Good service, opened space. Can feel a little cool through out the restaurant when the entrance door is opened.

One of my colleagues recommended this restaurant and I could not be happier she did. My only regret is that it is not closer to home. We went for my wife's birthday -- we were seated right away on a busy Friday night. She picked an excellent IPA from a well-curated beer list. We shared the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer -- it was among the best we've had. I had the portobello burger -- it was very well prepared. An excellent meal and we look forward to going back --

Food, drinks and music were beyond expectations! I had a blast on a beautiful Friday night, I didn't want to leave! The DJ was sooo lively, the atmosphere was intimate yet mature, the wait staff were gun and inviting! The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Cannot wait to go back!♡

The portobello wrap was delicious. Nice atmosphere to hang with friends.

Great variety. Chicken tacos were great and unique not the same as every where else.

Harlem Tavern is a great place to meet friends for a pint or grab something to eat and have a good time

Food was great!. Great food and drink selection. Indoor and outdoor seating. It was really loud indoor vs outdoor seating. I couldn't even hear ourselves talk sitting in the booth. Daily Happy Hours available 😁🍹🍸🥂

I've been here at least 5 times and I haven't had any reasons not to recommend this spot. Burgers, Short Rib sliders, Mac an cheese served in a cast iron pot with the option to add bacon. It's far from tasting artificial like craft Mac and cheese FYI. That's a good thing. All the people I've gone with in groups have been happy with their food. The atmosphere is cool, mostly relaxed. Loud. Half because of the Hip Hop and R&B playing/ whatever the hired DJ is playing. The other half because people are having a good time with conversations all over the place. Some parts are a bit cramped, ex. Seating next to the bar area may have you getting bumped into. Overall I give it 4 stars. It's not a super fancy spot but it's also not trying to be. I think it does a good job of being consistent which will have me going back again.

We were in NYC for three nights. The first night we came we had an awesome experience with Emma as a server she was fantastic so we decided to come back. We had her again the second night and again service was fantastic. So we decided that the third night called for us again. The third night was horrible. We didn’t get Emma. Our server was Edwin and it was like he didn’t know how to serve. He rarely came to the table. When we ordered more drinks they sat at the bar forever. We saw them sitting there. It was a complete different experience. So basically Emma was amazing and we would recommend her. We wish she was there the third night. Food was good every time.

Had the food before(about 3 -4 months ago)and would have given a four star then but being there recently... it goes down to a three. I don't know if they have a new cook but the braised beef ribs taste very different. Had the same dinner both times.
