Happy Camper Pizzeria

Overall: Color me surprised, but the hype for Happy Camper did not disappoint!The good: 9 times out of 10 we'd get pizza at a primarily-pizza restaurant, but we decided to split a "roasted garlic bruschetta" and calzone, and neither disappointed. The bread on the bruschetta was crispy and buttery and the roasted garlic was a delicious, if not abnormal, addition to the classic dish. And the ranch/cheese spread was delicious as well. The meatball calzone was well-portioned with cheese, meatball, and surprisingly lettuce (which was a nice addition). The portion sizes are large (the calzone was a perfect split), but you get your money's worth.The not-so-good: The service was a little slow at the beginning when we sat down, but luckily it improved once we were attended to. The prices are a little high but nothing out of the ordinary for the area.Food/drink: 9/10Atmosphere: 8/10Service: 8/10

Spinach Salad is amazing and very filling. Get mozzarella sticks with goat cheese dipping sauce. Yummy. Great service with cool vibe.

This place plays great music and sincerely has a good vibe. The employees all have a great attitude. Our server, Joe, was great!!

I ate there today with a large group. They went above and beyond to accommodate our last minute visit. The food was delicious and the service from Riley was excellent. Next time I am in town I will be back.

So I haven't yet had the pizza at Happy Camper, I've only gone for drinks after having been somewhere else but the atmosphere is fun and everyone is always having a good time. They seem to have a good ratio of people where you feel like the place is busy but no one is getting in your way. The music is fun and everyone has a good time. The drinks are fantastic and creative as well. If you are near Old Town this is definitely a fun choice, I look forward to going back for the pizza soon.

; The vibe was good. If you like loud music, pizza and drinks with aesthetic decors, this is the place. The DJ played good music the entire time we were there. Pizza was alright, but not bad. My Moscow Mule must've had 0 alcohol in it, lol. I still had a good time there and the service was friendly.

We celebrated my daughters 23rd birthday at the Wrigley location on a Friday night. There was a wait, but not horrible. When we got seated, the place was MOBBED!!! The music was so loud we couldn’t even hear each other talk. Granted, my husband and I are in our 50’s so...this was just not our scene. LOL! My daughter and friends loved it and had a great time. All this to say, our waitress made our experience a great experience. Thank you HEATHER for being so kind and attending to us the way you did and for your kindness!!!! Always had a smile on her face. The food is amazing!!

I loved the entire atmosphere of this place! Such a great find for dinner with friends. Good, varied, and delicious options for pizza, amazing service, unique and cheerful decor, and a ton of space so you don’t have to wait.

This place is one of the best places to sit, drink, have a pizza, and enjoy the atmosphere. We come here whenever we need a little get away and that's what this place feels like. Great house cocktails, pizza, and music. Highly recommend.

Happy Camper has great pizza, great drinks, and a really cool atmosphere. The theme -- which could be kitschy -- is actually endearing. They have an open store front and sidewalk seating option in the summer and a cozy indoor space in winter. The pizza is varied and is conveniently grouped by vegetarian, chicken, or meat. They have gluten-free crust, but it's significantly more expensive and is only available on a small pizza. The drinks menu is large and varied. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Went for brunch on a summer Saturday. Amazing vibes. Extremely yummy avocado toast! Also really great service!
