Hapa Sushi Grill and Sake Bar

Loved the service, my waitress was very kind and accommodating. The quality of the fish itself was great but, the execution was sorely lacking. I ordered three rolls; XXX, Tootsie Roll, and 69. The only one I enjoyed was the Tootsie Roll and even that one left me disappointed. Rice wasn’t cooked properly, much too soft. The XXX had decent taste, I liked the hamachi. However, with no fish on the inside, and mushy rice, it didn’t feel like I was eating a sushi roll.. it was weirdly soft. The 69 fell apart the second I touched it and the taste wasn’t anything special. The bottom was overly cold and the top was baked. Perhaps my chef was new, or some other issue. Lots of people seem to like the place but, it wasn’t for me. Especially for the price point. Good service though!

We were regulars at Hapa before the "stay at home" orders kicked in and wanted to support the restaurant during this time. Tonight we ordered online using the "ChowNow" link and when we got home, only one roll of sushi was one that I ordered, the rest was stuff we don't really eat. I called to let them know that the food we got wasn't what we ordered. I was transferred to the manager and she was really nice and determined to make it right. She offered to have the correct items delivered but it wasn't necessary, we don't live far. We were able to pick up our correct order right away and was given a gift card for the inconvenience. I really have to give a shout out to Hapa for doing that. They were quite busy but I would imagine that times are tough for all restaurants right now, and I really appreciate the amazing customer service. Thank you Hapa!

Just found my new sushi place. I'm very picky with seafood and sushi, and this place is definitely great. I ordered the Magic Mushrooms for a starter, they were very delicious and got the Pacific Isle which was a yummy tuna sushi roll. The atmosphere is also sleek and hip. Will definitely be coming back for my next sushi craving.

Great place I usually go to the one downtown cherry creek has a lot of stuck up people (the area in general) but the staff here are welcoming professional and down to earth great sushi as always I will be back again

Such delicious and inventive rolls. The XXX is a must try, trust me. The names of some of these rolls are a riot too

This restaurant has no idea how to handle simple take out orders. If you order from here expect your food 30-60 minutes later than expected.

Obgligatory visit(s) to Hapa during visit home, the uni was delicious! The presentation was beautiful and the rolls were perfectly executed as I’ve grown to expect.

This is my favorite SUSHI place in the Denver Metro Area as of today! They have a great selection of rolls and a good bar! It is a classy romantic atmosphere! The service is always on point! The restaurant is always clean! The fish is as fresh as it can be for being this far away from the ocean as we are! I recommend this sushi restaurant to everyone! It is a must go!

Got a recommendation from my local friend. It was an excellent choice. Everything we tried was amazing. The tofu soup was fresh and the salmon was super soft and melted in my mouth. A ++

My wife has celiac disease, and we have never had a problem eating gluten free here. The staff is very knowledgeable, and the food is delicious.

Always good, never disappoints! Fresh and delicious sushi rolls everytime! Cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Staff is always very nice and polite. Great spot! 🍣🥟

I think it’s over priced for the quality which, is middle of the road. They have some pretty cool dishes on the menu.

This place was so great! Definitely glad we had a reservation on a Friday night. Place was packed, but after, I understood why! The service was friendly & efficient. The cocktails & food were top notch. We got the Spicy Tuna nachos - 10/10 recommend & each got rolls ourselves and they were delish. Will definitely be coming back. 🤗

Hapa Sushi Grill was a phenomenal place to have dinner! The service was top notch and the food was great and came out very quickly! Our waiter provided excellent recommendations and was very friendly! My only complaint was when we were seated the hostess wanted us to sit at a table right next to another couple and the restaurant was fairly empty. We asked to sit at another table that wasn't directly next to someone else so we could enjoy a more private dinner. Not long after that another couple was seated directly next to us and the tables we were sitting at were very small and very close together. This isn't a problem that would prevent me from going back or changed my overall opinion of the restaurant but eating dinner late at night with little to no guests it was a little inconvenient. However, I do understand restaurants have specific rules for seating guests. Overall, 10/10 recommend Hapa and I will be back! Definitely save room for the fried banana!!!!!!
