Upscale old world seafood - the atmosphere was wonderful with wood all around, and some of the best fish that I have ever had! Sauteed flounder with lump crab meat and asparagus salad

Good seafood restaurant in the historic district. Parking garage next to building. Nice selection of choices. Good drink menu.

This was suggested to us by locals as the best seafood and it did not disappoint. Awesome! We started with oyster shooters. Then had some oysters with all of the fixins'. They were fresh and delicious from 3 different regions. We moved on to a feature light summer salad with wonderful greens and watermelon, and ordered crab cakes (not on the menu) from the suggestion of our local "friends" we made at the restaurant. BEST CRAB CAKES EVER! the waiter even shared the recipe from the chefs cookbook. They suggest reservations if you want a private table. They have a very nice large community table (which we sat at) and bar with first come first serve seating. We were able to walk right in and sit down. Great restaurant!

Omg! The quality of food and service was superb. When we visit Charleston on every vacation this will always be a place we go to eat. Not cheap but the level of food is premium

So delicious yet reasonably priced. Value for service and food was phenomenal. Best pecan pie in town too :)

Hank’s is a great place for a quick bite or a multi-course meal. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Our server’s recommendations were spot-on as well. The fish of the day (Mahi) was delicious as was the filet and seafood soup. Most surprising was the Key Like Pie, it was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. You can’t go wrong dining here.

My husband and I went for our 1 year anniversary. We drove an hour into Charleston and left full and satisfied. The service was great, our server had a large party but still managed to give us great service. For an appetizer we had the fried oysters with corn and okra. It was amazing, the oysters were cooked perfectly. I cannot remember the name of my entre but it included claims, mussels, and grouper in a broth. For a side dish I had grits with pimento cheese. My meal blew my expectations! I haven't had mussels and clams cooked that perfectly in decades. The grits were amazing as well. My husband kept it safe and got fried shrimp and fries. He was happy with his order as well. The portions were a nice size, so no dessert for us. We high recommended Hanks, you wont be disappointed and worth the price.

Classic downtown Charleston establishment. Excellent food and service in a nice environment. You won't be unhappy if you go here.

So good. Great service. Seafood (crabcakes, dozen assorted oysters on half shell, oyster stew, shrimp and grits) was superb. Also, liked my New Old Fashioned with Virgil Kaine rye so much, I had two.

Solid seafood restaurant. Nice selection to choose from. Good service, our server Jessica was fantastic! Wasn't blown away by the decor and thought it was a bit over priced for what it was. Overall our dining experience was good.

The service was impeccable. The food was awesome and filling. I had the grouper 😁. The key lime pie was tang and delicious. The atmosphere was reminiscent of fine dining, but the dress code was relaxed and welcoming. I will most definitely return when I’m in the area.

Hank's Seafood Restaurant is one of my favorite places to have seafood and southern dishes in Charleston. They provide a special dining here as everything very nice and taken care of from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. Every menu item I have tried so far has been delicious, flavorful, and memorable as every bite has something to offer. The service here is great as they are very attentive and work hard to make sure that you have everything that you need to have the best meal. Overall this is one of the best dining experiences in Charleston.

Hank's offered a wonderful dining experience. My wife and I wanted to go for seafood while we were visiting Charleston so we did some research, asked around, and decided on Hank's. The service staff was kind and attentive and the sea food was excellent.
