Great food and good service. A classic for a reason. Try the smoked trout deviled eggs.

My partner and I cruised the wharf for the absolute best restaurant we could find on our first night in D.C. We found it! Hank's Oyster Bar was phenomenal! We had a half dozen oysters to start. They were super fresh and delicious. Next came our entree's. I had the molasses braised short ribs with Mac and cheese and fries for the sides, and my partner had the lobster roll with fries. I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN to tell you how good the short rib dish was! Also the mac and cheese....DAMN. My mouth is still watering writing this review. The lobster roll was fresh and buttery. Our server Kevin was great too! I had such a good experience here that I let Clifton (the manager) know. Keep up the great work guys. If we're ever in town again, expect another visit from us!

Really incredible food. Some of the best oysters I've had - certainly better than the Bay Area or Gulf oysters I'm used to. Great wine selection. Our waitress Ally was really lovely, had great suggestions and was really helpful. Restaurant was buzzing but even when full I could still easily hear my friends.
