Handy's Lunch

The hometown favorite, the cats meow, the bees knees, the homerun grand slam walk off champagne shower, is how I would describe Handy’s. Looking for a diner-style Breakfast or lunch in Burlington or anywhere in Vermont? can’t go wrong eating the magical creations by Earl and his team. Do eat here or do not, there is no try.

This place is one of those places u won’t see around a lot. Old school sit around the counter and talk to the person next to you or the cooks and wait staff. GREAT PLACE. PLEASE IF YOU READ HIT THE LIKE BUTTON THANKS

Saw this diner featured on Man vs. Food, and knew that we had to stop here on our recent trip to Vermont. Both my girlfriend and I ordered the Chuck Norris sandwich, which certainly lived up to the hype. I finished mine with ease, while my girlfriend started to slow at the end. Be ready for a gastric experience like no other. If you love breakfast, as much as I do, then you'll love the sandwiches offered here. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mr. Handy, and he was more than helpful to let us know about some activities to check out up in Vermont. Coming from NYC, it was nice to meet someone so friendly who had inside knowledge of what to see and do. Thanks again, and on our next visit to VT, we will make sure to swing by again for another "battle" with Chuck Norris. 😉

Perfect. Just the quintessential food counter. The service was excellent and the food was served quickly and put together very well. Places like this are what makes this country great. Diverse and dignified little businesses that treat everyone like family.

This is throw-down, high-five the cook kinda food in a super friendly, down-to-earth, relaxed, casual atmosphere. Food was awesome, service was great and Handy and his staff were amazing! Leave your pretensions behind and go to Handy's!

I had bookmarked this establishment on Yelp and finally made it here!I am a big fan of diner type restaurants for breakfast, so while in town we came in. We dined on a weekday morning and it was very quiet, but this seems like the type of spot that would get more crowded on a weekend.Parking can be a little tricky around here, but we found a free 2 hour spot on a nearby road. The decor inside is cute and I love that this place has been open since 1945! The restaurant has an old timey feel with it's lunch counter and stools.Food prices are affordable and should be friendly to most budgets.Cute place to visit if you are looking for a unique spot to eat.
