Has been our go-to Chinese restaurant in the South End for YEARS! The owner is absolutey awesome. She has watched my son grow up from age 5 to 12 and always gives him something special. Food is delicious, hot, and flavourful. Will continue going back over and over and over....

Hai Shang while unassuming on the outside is a place I know I will be coming back to time and time again and if for only their soup dumplings which are a unique and delicious item i’ve not seen elsewhere. The staff was wonderful and friendly, i’m already looking forward to trying more items on their extensive menu the next time I find myself in the area!

Absolutely love this place. The owner is so warm and loving. She recommended eggplant hotpot and it's so delicious, a great hearty dish for winter. She also taught us how to eat soup dumplings which are also fantastic! Great mom and pop restaurant. Will definitely be regulars!
