Always a delight coming here. Wait times can get crazy during peak time but staff are always kind and welcoming and the food is so delicious.

This is our go to place for Japanese BBQ. Servers are always friendly and helpful. Everything is delicious! Just don't overcook the meat! Weekend nights are usually busy so if you don't have a reservation, try going during lunch time or weekdays. P.S. They have good lunch deals and happy hour deals.

Great food but price is a little high for such small portions. Because of that 4/5 stars.

One of my absolute favourite places to eat. I recommend it to everyone and have even gotten my office to go all together before! The food is incredible, they have a huge selection so there is something for everyone. They always have some sort of happy hour going on, so I rarely spend over $15. Their service is wonderful, the staff is attentive and accommodating. I'll go back for more soon!!

So much food! I'm not an adventurous eater, but I thoroughly enjoyed this Japanese BBQ. All the meats were tender and delicious.

We arrived at this restaurant for lunch. we heard about this place from quite a few people. Well, it was a winning. we were warmly welcomed by the staff members and we felt very good. The meal was tasty. We loved this restaurant very much and we shall definitely come back again. Warmly recommended.

I love their thick cut miso gyu tongue! Avacado salad was amazing as well! However, premium gyu tongue slices were too thin.

This place has a better indoor vibe due to the windows everywhere, compared to the Nelson location. As always the food was incredible.

Hospitable. Fast service. Food tasted amazing and cool drink options! Entrance a little slippery when raining be careful. We tripped and saw a few others trip.

Gyu-kaku has an assortment of high quality meats. The menu is easy to read and the atmosphere is nice. The BBQ in the table is oiled by the server, and the grill gets replaced when it gets dirty. The servers tell you how to cook what you order.

Liked going to the downtown one so wanted to try this one. Unfortunately never did because when I booked it (over the phone) and got there it said closed because of "computer issues"... Would be nice if they had called to inform me before I got there.

Went by Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ for lunch today and had a good experience. The service was above average, and the food was good. The grill setup is great, and they have tables with dual grills for larger groups as well. I really liked the garlic noodles (both beef and veggie), the corn dish, and all the meats that came with the “Meat Lovers” package. We lucked out and got the happy hour prices so everything was 20% off. If it wasn’t for that I would say the prices were pretty high. I was disappointed with all the vegetable options, which brought my stars down as well. Not much flavour.

Great Japanese bbq place!! Service was a little slow... But the food was good. They also had 20% off certain items during happy hour. Which we got to pick from! We went during lunch, so not much of a wait.

Went here on a short trip to Vancouver. The food was delicious and staff were friendly. Can't wait to come back in the future.
