Awesome team, energy and atmosphere! Their food is amazing (oishii desu!), with new specials everyday. Their okonomiyaki is second to none, duck breast is probably my top choice and the marinated pork belly is also excellent. Thanks for the amazing off-the-menu experience with the soba! Arigatougozaimasu!

This is so much more than an eating experience. You have to go here if you want a good night out of fun and craic. From the moment you enter to the time you leave it's wall to wall friendliness that puts everyone at ease and in good humour. It's Japanese hospitality at its very best. Also the food is really interesting and tasty. We chose lots of different dishes as sharing plates. I'm not a big sushi fan but I tried it here and liked it. To finish off you must try the Saki bombs for your party. We liked it first time and had to go back a second time for more. Overall a really good night out of food and fun. A great place to relax, chill and enjoy the experience.

One of my favourites. Always a 5/5 every time I go. My favourite place to sit is the bar. Never ordered anything on the menu I didn’t like. Last night I tried the deep fried brie cheese with berry sauce & mango sauce. Unbelievable flavour!

It was buzzing with people even on a Wednesday night, and why wouldn’t it be? The service is awesome and the food is awesome! Variety of beautiful Japanese food and drinks, I enjoyed every particular dish we ordered. Can’t wait to go back! :)

Awesome service, fresh fish, great dishes overall. It serves very good food for the price. Great place to take a date, but be sure you like the person, because it can get pricy real fast! The duck breast and ox tongue are really good with the fresh garlic!

This place is a must try if you love Japanese food. Everything I had was delicious! Each dish was packed full of flavour and freshness. Beef, and bacon were super tender, and the noodles were fresh.What was even better was the experience. Everyone was having a good time, and seemed like they enjoyed their work. It felt like I was in Japan for second because of the way they greet you, and say thank you. All of the staff shout "welcome" in Japanese when you visit. It's just like how you see in tv shows.Their Burdock fries were way good! I'd highly recommend them. The batter was delicious and they had a really good crunch to them. Also, their bacon wrapped dish was to die for! Tons of flavour! I highly recommend this place, especially for the experience if you love Japanese food.

Never disappointed. It has been a long long while since my last visit to Guu.. probably like years ago when they were still at the Chruch street location or in Vancouver. People are great and food is awesome. Just check out my photos i think anything they have is great.. although i didn’t order everything but every item i ordered was great. thank you so much and i wish to visit again soon!! (since i live far away from here) all the best!!

Excellent fun upbeat atmosphere. The food was amazing, the service was awesome. Good selection of sake and drinks. Great place to hang out on a Friday night.

Great place to bring your friends with, good people and staff! the sharing plates are on point and you will see that the chef really took its time to create such masterchief as every food we ordered are bursting with the best flavors of japan!!!

Friendly staff (the waitress was all smiles the entire night) and delicious food! I couldn’t justify giving Guu a full five-star review because: 1) please take beer ramen off your menu, it looks disgusting and it’s a disgrace to Japanese food culture and 2) their hotate (raw scallops) were a little on the fishy side.

It was a good experience. The restaurant was full and the staff were super busy, hence first order was last order but they delivered everything up to expectation. Don’t go there if you’re looking for some huge portions, the food portion was fairly small. It’s a good place to hangout.
