I’ve been coming here since they first opened. Today, I’ve been waiting for over an hour for 2 wings and 2 breast. Not a good experience today. However, it’s still one of my favorite places to eat.

The place was nice and clean, but the chicken was wayyy to spicy for me... I wish they would have said something before ordering. I didn't order anything besides chicken. I don't think I'll ever go back because I don't like spicy food... ( Unless it was a mistake ) which I don't think it was, because my mother said her chicken was too spicy for her as well... what I will say is, it was Non-Stop people coming in to order so other people must like the place, So, it's a no for me, but it may be a Yes for you..

I got 3 pieces of dark meat chicken along with coleslaw. Everything was absolutely fantastic. The chicken had the perfect crunch and spice level. It was also very tender and juicy! Screw Capitan Jay's, throw an extra buck or two in here and get much better chicken!

I ordered chicken tenders fries and fried pickles fried pickles were awesome but my tenders were fried too hard making them tough and my frozen fries were cold. This was my first time and i won’t go back. I did call and tell them about my order and Lois was excellent so i might add that they have awesome customer service. I was told to come back anytime ask for Lois and she would fix the problem. Thank u Lois

Conveniently located in Midtown Detroit. Gus' offers fresh, tasty, fried chicken with a spicy tang. The restaurant seems to always be clean. The kitchen is exposed so you can see the staff prepare your meal - which is always a plus for me. They also have large screens so you can watch the game. And if you needed more incentive to visit, you can even enjoy a cold beer while you're here.My only critique would be the option of wheat bread or maybe cornbread with your meal instead of just white bread.

Super delicious fried chicken, greens, and fried okra. The service was very friendly also and the service was moderately quick considering it had a bustling business. I recommend you give it a try. Great fried chicken, beans, coleslaw and sweet tea!! Love waitress and Midtown location. Service was a little slow but worth the wait. Highly suggest if you want fried chicken and like it a little spicy. I will return

Gus's does make good fried chicken. It's always on point. They do use peanut oil, so watch out if you have allergies. But otherwise, the tenders are amazing, the half chicken is good too! The sides are good too, but go for the chicken.
