Good food. Friendly staff. We really liked it. If we come back I’m sure we will eat here again.

Our server Sean (or Shaun) was fantastic. Best chicken fried chicken ever. The chicken fried steak was wonderful too. Black eyed peas were good. Loved the beignets

Love this place! Fantastic setting, great food and the service is fast, friendly. and fantastic! General Manager walks around to check on your meal. The seafood omelette was the best omelette ever. Crab, crawfish, and shrimp. 😋 Biscuits are outstanding and the eggs I ordered were perfectly cooked. The grits were the best ever tasted!!! Does get crowded. It is worth the wait!Gumbo looked amazing. Next time we will try that. You gotta go!

Worst experience ever was told 10 15 min yet waited over 45 minutes so 5 year old could eat before going to hotel as we came from houston just to stop here as we do every so often. The food and service has definitely changed . I use to get soft shell crab poboy which is no longer available changed to sandwich which is not a big deal yet it was not cooked fully . the chicken fried chicken with side of choice 13.00 was the size of a tender yet they wanted to convince me even though I ordered fries as a side that they do mashed potatoes and were doing me a favor by giving me fries . Given that all food was ready to go and had to wait and let it get soggy while they looked for my chicken.Very disappointing that while I understand we going through tough times I tried not to complain or bring it to the manger because I understood why they were busy but shouldn't be at the cost of quality in the food or service.

Good place to get breakfast, a local diner on the seawall. A few friends of ours or in town and decided to stop to get breakfast. We all ordered a different play, they were all delicious. All the plates were great, except the huevos rancheros. The sauce could be a lot better I would suggest the seafood omelette or the biscuits and gravy. Overall great diner.

During this quarantine the staff at the gumbo diner is doing everything that they can to fulfill your needs and satisfy your orders. Unfortunately they are limited in staffing based on how many people they can allow in the building at a given time mandated by local and federal governments. Please be patient and kind with the folks that are being Overwhelmed with demand and don’t have the staffing to meet it.

The food and service was amazing. They have breakfast all day and a variety of other options from seafood to burgers. Also there are amazing views of the ocean. Mimosas were ON POINT!

Great food and prices. I ordered off the all-day breakfast menu which was a T-bone steak with toast, hash browns (or you can get grits), toast and two eggs. It was $13.99, which was a great deal with the T-bone steak. Nice size and thickness of the steak.

Best Gumbo on the Island. Great for take out. Diner atmosphere. Wine choices are poor.

Beyond amazing food! Worth the wait! Sam the waiter was super friendly and great! Did I mention the food was amazing?! LOVE THIS PLACE!

The shrimp & grits was one of the best things I have ever eaten. My family & I went there 1st thing Saturday morning. I don't normally eat early in the morning but I kept eating till I was about sick because it was so amazing. We're going back tomorrow & the rest of my family is ordering what I had today. There was no wait, service was great. Spent a little bit more than I normally would on a breakfast but it was so worth it; and like I said, we're going back tomorrow!!

I enjoyed the junior burger. Very fresh.

Went here last weekend, food was phenomenal, big portions, friendly servers, great service. Nice little gem.

Chicken fried steak with potatoes and gravy and Cole slaw was very good they don't skimp on servings
