Such a great place to be. This place is much more then a pizzeria. It's fun and good food. They made delicious home made sauce and they put fresh toppings on the pizza. They do serve alcohol as well. Great place to go. Definitely we are coming back Highly recommend.

Best pizza in NYC, nice atmosphere and really good and professional staff especially the waiter Sunny. They cook their pizza with an amazing coal brick oven.

Absolutely great NY pizza. It is cooked perfectly, looks appetizing, great service, and last but not least great menu options.

Wanted to try the Gluten Free crust but nobody could tell me the ingredients used to make the crust. Their excuse was they "buy the crust pre-made." That is unacceptable! Ingredients should be known (especiallyin 2023), otherwise don't offer it. HUGE disappointment

The calzones at Grimaldis are massive, delicious, and keep bringing me back. But the pizza? Not so much. I wish the pizza was as good as their staff. Everyone is super nice there. Don't get me wrong, Grimaldis pizza is far better than any street ("utility") pizza you'll find, but also far from the best pizza in NYC. Been here plenty of times and the pizza it always just a little too soggy for me. Even plain cheese it's not crispy enough. I can understand if I get 5 veggies on top (I'd never do that, btw) that it might end up soggy, but how does a plain or pepperoni end up with soggy crust in the middle every time? I think their sauce or cheese just has too high of a moisture content for my liking on pizza (but in a calzone it's heavenly). My favorite pizza continues to be Johns of Bleecker Street, but Grimaldis wins for calzones.

So good! The pizzas feature a crispy crust, tangy sauce, and delicious toppings. Whenever I'm in the mood for pizza, this is a guarantee good place for satisfying that craving.

food and service were not good. We ordered a pizza with sausage and realized a few bites in that it doesn’t have it. We asked our server about it and she said “oh yeah we ran out of sausage” and stared at us. She finally offered to get us another pizza. It wasn’t good. While we were waiting for the check which took so long, we saw a mouse scurry across the floor. So gross.

For what they offer, the $1 pizza from "2 Bros Pizza" is better, cheaper and more delicious.

Going into an old church and eating some pizza was really a unique experience. The service was fast, the place was very solemn and quiet, and the pizza was tasty. The crust had some corn meal which really added nice texture. Customers seemed really happy to be eating the pizza. We had a small and it was plenty for 2 not uber-hungry adults. I might venture to try some toppings if I go again!

Good pizza. Made the great choice to go with the regula Presidential Pizza which was really good. I would have loved to have been able to take a whole pizza back with me!

Ordered a pizza with extra toppings totalling $8. Then they delivered the pizza with none of those toppings. Would not refund my $8. I was perfectly happy with paying for the pizza I got, but they swiped $8 from me for toppings they didn't add. And that's a problem. A pizza pie @ grimaldi's is ~$30. They lost the opportunity for my business over $8. And NYC is a very competitive pizza market. Plenty of other options. 🤷♂️ Moral - don't steal.

Delicious pies and don’t miss the calzones, delicious (huge). Great pizza.

The inside of the place is such a vibe, it’s really cozy and the inside is blue at night (haven’t been during the day). The server was really sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. The pizza was good but just not the best I’ve ever had in NY. The prices are pretty high but they offer a variety of options so you can truly customize to your liking just be mindful that it’s $2-$3 per topping. The alcohol selection is pretty small and the wine isn’t great but the overall experience is really sweet.
