Green Onion Lounge

Wow. Haven't been in there for 15 years and it looks exactly the same. What is nice is that it still looks new. They keep it up nice, but it has an 80's golf feel with the hunter green decor. Still pouring stiff drinks. Same exact napkins for the past 20+ years I guess. If it ain't broke...

Delicious drinks. Fun atmosphere. Pace yourself. They're known for pouring strong drinks.

They have the soft thick toilet paper in the ladies room!

The first time I stopped in about a month ago, after moving back to the area, was around 4:30, the bartender was extremely nice and friendly. Stopped today with friends, initially the same bartender, nice and friendly. Apparently had a change and the person who took her place was a little rude when I asked a question about the bill. Not exactly what I would expect from this place as I have been here many times in years past and never experienced rude service. Extremely disappointing as this is a very nice, comfortable lounge. Might want to teach the second shift bartender some manners!!

If you like classic old school cocktail lounges, this is one of the best. Opened in either 1969 or 1970, The Green Onion has the classic sunken oval shaped bar, straight forward cocktails, and old school atmosphere. Great service, strong mixed drinks, and fair prices. Regulars and non-regulars are greeted and taken care of in the same, awesome way. I moved to West Omaha a couple of years ago and this place has become one of my favorite stops. Tell them "Doctor" sent you.

Their drinks are STRONG. Hadn't been there since the age of 21 and not much changed. I always ordered an additional pop because sometimes it's too much to handle.

Decent bar and decent drinks place is def outdated but served its purpose.

It's been here for ages. Jesse, the owner has always maintained a healthy pour. My father used to frequent this establishment many years ago. I only stop by infrequently now, when i'm in the neighborhood but he still remembers my brother and I. It always warms my heart.

Favorite bartender no longer there! She made my Saturdays amazing with her awesome positive attitude and genuine smile. Place is not the same and any other night you could see place was going downhill for years now. Other bartenders aren't friendly nor talkative except amongst their friends or coworkers. I won't be back.

The Bartender did a great job dealing with a very obnoxious patron.
