Awesome bar! We danced all night with the Eli Cash Band who played only great music! After our walk back to the hotel we realized we left a phone there and when we called the next morning they were so helpful and friendly and even let us come get it before open. Great atmosphere because of all the people there!

Nice old, historical pub in downtown Boston. Stopped in on St Patrick day weekend. Very lively and lots of great music!

Definitely a Boston bucket list bar. Apparently it's not the original location or building.. which is what I thought. But it still had a Bostonian colonial feel.

The atmosphere is what you expect from a bar. The chicken pot pie crust was so good! The pie itself was good too. We got fried pickles and he got the fish and chips. They were pretty good.

Love the atmosphere & historic aspect. It’s nice being able to tour all these places with my son now that he’s 21! We stopped in for a few beers. Great selection. Our bartender was Chris he was awesome! Full of knowledge giving us the background. Can’t wait to go back again and try out some food items on the menu.

My husband and I came here on a whim, enjoying the name, and looking for a good tavern lunch. Being in this location, it's competing with quite a few other taverns, and really does an awesome job! The atmosphere was very cozy (though a few of the tables and chairs were wobbly), the wait staff was kind and attentive, and the food was really filling and flavorful!Small note: the water tastes very minerally, so if you dislike that taste, maybe keep a personal bottle on hand. Service was less than good. It was bad. I was there for 2 hours and saw a server 2 times. Being in a historical place may be what this place leans on. The beer was good beer. The atmosphere was beautifully historic, but if you're into getting your money's worth, consider a different location.

The Green Dragon has such a rustic, classic New England style to it that simply cannot be replicated by newer higher end Ravens downtown. The beer selection is great and the employees were courteous and provided great beer recommendations.

We had some good hot wings (which we couldn't finish) followed by some really good steaks. After a couple of IPAs find out they had a comedy night. The compare was great! Had a couple of hours of comedy and a great introduction to Boston and the surrounding areas thanks to a variety of comedians. A night not to be missed.

My gf and I both got the Shepard's pie, but failed to take a pic (there is an image of one on here). It was pretty darn good. Definitely would come back

Questions & Answers

It may not be the same management, but the atmosphere is the same, if not better

Right, I saw a few but it's not that kind of bar.

It was on Union Street but was demolished in 1854.

A few blocks away. No longer there.

This is a great place to go

Almost like 200 years now. Ha!
