Best tamales I've had in a long time!!!

Omg I love this place. I stay about 3030-45mins out the way and I will only go to this location for my tamales. They are made a little then but the meat to masa ratio is perfect, and awesome homemade red sauce oh and the customer service is wonderful. It is grad and go type place so dont think u will sit down no they specialize in tamales and do a darn good job at it.

Ordered the Pork and Beef and found them to be delicious, the meat was not dry, the masa was not broken and they were all equal in size. We also ordered the bean and cheese. I think we were given bean only but they were equally as delicious so I didn’t/wouldn’t complain. Quick order and delivery a lot of contact between Granny’s and myself they promised between 9-12 and were here just short of 9am. Will order again.Oh and the salsa - I don’t really do hot sauces but that red sauce is delicious!!!

Excellence! Great tamales every single time. 12 big tamales for $11.00 fresh or 3 dozen frozen, any choice, for $25.00 tax included. They taste great, too. Not salty at all - just right. Love the many choices. Staff are always nice and friendly.

Puro masa! Don't believe the hype. I've been here alot and when you get a tamale with something in it, they really are a good flavor but getting one with something in it is like hitting the lotto... I only stop by every once in a while to see if they got their tamale game back... Nope... Keeps getting worse... The price went up tho...

I would have given 5 stars for the tamales because they are truly delicious, but I am still angry with the rude, grouchy lady working the FM 1960 @ Lee Road location. It was Christmas Eve morning about 8:15am. I walked up to the window and I could see her playing on her phone. She rolled her eyes as if I was bothering her. I told her what I wanted and before I could finish, she cut me off and asked if I had an order. I said no, I called and spoke with Shane and he said there would be plenty of tamales at all locations and I did not need to place an order. Her comment was I should have placed an order weeks ago instead of waiting till the last minute. When I asked for cheese and jalapeno, she said "don't have any, barely have enough for my ORDERS". I ended up going to the 1st Street location, very friendly and had exactly what I was needing.

Taste is always consistent. Customer service is great. Never got an order wrong. One of few establishments I can say I never had a thing I would improve on. Glad they have more than one store now.

The website States that they deliver. When I called them they asked how many dozens did I need? I said I wanted three. The woman said "oh no, we don't deliver under 5 dozen." So my $30 order was too small, I need to spend $100 to get delivery. I never tried this place and only considered it because it had been recommended. I will never eat there because of the rude, not good enough for us attitude I got over the phone and I think they need to put on their website that they won't deliver unless you plan on spending $100 or more. Way to permanently lose a customer granny and hopefully many more due to this review.

Tamales are small with no meat in it! Need to find me a new place to go. Supposed to be double filling but it's not.

Prices are up yet again! First $8.50, then $10 last year, and now $11 a dozen this year. Compare that to Alamo tamales down the road at $7.75 a dozen, that makes Granny's 42% more expensive.

These Spicy Chicken Tamales are to kill for. Wow! What a nice receipe. Her green salsa is so tasty with a prounounced heat, lovely.Respectfully,Elsie Lucas in Humble

Great old style tamales, sauces, good prices, variety of flavorful fillings; always busy; long lines at holidays; call in orders or takeout.

It's a must buy from here the tamales are very good
