Golden Star Chinese & American Restaurant

The worst type of Chinese food, where volume is more important than quality. I went there for takeaway, ordered a wide selection of dishes from the menu. Most of it was cheap starches and inexpensive vegetable filler. And we threw most of it away in the end because it was practically inedible. I will try the other Chinese restaurants in Wassenaar and hope they will be a lot better

Nothing special. Fried chicken nasty aftertaste as if it were old. Plump chicken like pieces. Very economical with sambal.

Normally I always walked past or I sometimes took something away but for a change I just went inside to eat. The decor is very outdated and can be refreshed again. The aquarium with carp can also use changing, but otherwise it is fine. I fell in love with the Prawn Dumpling Soup or soup with shrimp in a thin dough. It is not an extremely special or complicated dish, but simply tasty, warming and authentic Chinese. When you notice that your resistance is deteriorating, this soup is ideal and for me personally it has a healing and calming effect on the mind. By the way, this is the only restaurant here in Wassenaar and the surrounding area that has this soup. Furthermore, we had the Peking duck and the spicy beef tenderloin, it was delicious and, as we are used to from the Chinese here in the Netherlands, again too much. But the rest could of course go home.I certainly intend to come here more often to try other dishes! But for the soup alone I will come back anyway.
