Best quick service restaurant for Japanese curry and practically the only!Prompt service and friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. They use good quality Japanese sticky rice and always cooked perfectly. Also, very good bold tasting Japanese curry and not too salty. This Japanese curry is not spicy at all. Highly recommended toppings: pork sausage, shrimp tempura and pork katsu. Would definitely come back to this location or any other locations.

I order pork katsu curry via mealpalWait about 5 mins. But totally worth to wait.Because the pork katsu was fresh and very crispy and crunch.Meat was pretty tender as well. Also fresh cabbage salad on the side.Everything balance so well together with curry sauceThe portion is similar to small katsu curry.Good quick lunch spot in midtown!

Very yummy. I'm impressed with the menu and customizability. Its a small place though so it might be too full to dine in.

Are you cold and sad? Are you happy and hungry? Are you alive? Not until you've tried this curry. Do yourself a favor, work up an appetite wandering the city and before getting to Port to make your way home have some of this curry + meat. This will soothe your soul, give you the comfort of a Japanese home cooked and ship you off with leftovers to enjoy tomorrow ( or when you get home).

My fiance and I have been going to this place for years. It's just a fun, comfort-food spot to stop by in. It's small so dont bring a large party. Four people, max, would be best.

Make sure you are well aware of your stomach size. Your food comes out super quick. The pork katsu (cutlet) was good, but freshness of rice was questionable. Good for quick bite. The place is super small so probably not good for group(more than 4 people). Pretty sure it's not vegan, vegetarian, kosher, or halal. The sauce also contains pork.

One of my favorite place to eat chicken katsu 😋 I always ask to put the sauce on the side because I don’t like my katsu to soak on the sauce. by the way, I love the curry sauce it’s the best curry sauce I ever taste so far. Highly recommended ♥️

Delicious! I got the large tonkatsu curry rice. It would be improved if there's pickles and hot oil but I can't complain if I'm looking for a quick dinner. Would come back again.

It's a small place with limited sitting. But their Japanese curry and katsu were very tasty. Also no bathroom available.

It was my brother's birthday and he loves Japanese food. So he suggested I look for a hole in the wall Japanese place where I could get authentic Japanese food. After my class, I quickly looked up for the closest Japanese place. Sakura is nearby but this one had the small outlet feel to it. The small chicken katsu is about 7 bucks. I ordered a medium since I was celebrating and had a big appetite. The chicken katsu comes with sauce on a bed of Japanese rice and thinly sliced cabbage and raddish. I devoured the whole plate and it cost 10$. It can feed two people Loved that the food is fresh. On a Saturday afternoon, there was hardly anyone. The service is prompt and the place is clean. Loved it and would definitely come back for other katsu....

Perfectly same with the original. You can enjoy a Japanese popular curry with a low price in Manhattan.Go Go Curry is a popular local curry in Japan. The curry source has a very rich taste, a little different from a typical one in Japan. They're famous for a lot of, sometimes too many, toppings such as pork cutlet.I tried a basic menu, Katsu curry (pork). I was delighted to have the same experience with that in Japan. Very rich source and crispy pork cutlet. The point is you can have it with a very low price. Generally speaking, Japanese dishes in US cost two to three times more compared to those in Japan. This curry's price in Manhattan is only a little higher than that in Japan. It's amazing.
