Giovanni's Old World New York Pizzeria

Restaurant is clean and friendly, the cheese pizza with olives was to salty for me, but maybe it was just an off day or something. Lasagna was pretty good though, I'm sure their other foods/pizzas are good too.

I love the pizza! Best I've found here in Sacramento. Authentic New York thin crust pies. Even have Sicilian style. Last visit was a little disappointed. The dining area was a bit messy and the soda machine was not working. No carbonated water...had water to drink but still paid the full price. Short staffed?? The pizza was good though...

pizza, mmm, quality stuff. Normally I would have posted a pic but food looked so good I couldn't stop. The staff was very kind and attentive. Makes me feel like I am back in Sacramento.

Staff are always friendly and pizza is very good. Lunch combos with pizza slices and a drink are the best.

Solid pie. Sausage is made in house and spiced super legit. Sauce is tasty. Reminds me that pizza shouldn't be a "just settle cause you dont wanna cook" option, but can be a high quality meal.

The Pizza was delicious but it wasn’t ready when I arrived on time. They hadn’t made it yet so I had to wait 30 min for it. That’s really not acceptable. Didn’t get offered anything for my visit either.

I highly recommend going here. It is one of the best pizzas you will ever eat. Authentic ingredients.

This is the closest to NY style pizza as you can get in the Sacramento area. They are not inexpensive but consistently good!

I absolutely love this place. They have some of the best pizza in town. Not only is their food delicious but I always have a great experience with the staff. Tonight, we had a small gathering for my daughter's 4th birthday. I called ahead to make sure bringing my own cake was approved, which it was. The service was wonderful, the food was hot and fresh, and the atmosphere was comfortable. My friends and I have little ones, and when they're all together, they can get crazy. Thank you to the staff and even the customers for being so patient with my little group of wild ones. I've been a customer here for years and will continue to support Giovanni's. PS: The festa di Italia pizza is #1

I asked for extra red sauce and the guy looked me in the eye and confirmed. Pizza came with barely any sauce. That tells me that I can’t rely on them to get a simple order correct or they did it on purpose to disappoint me and the other people I was with. I bought one of the most expensive pizzas and it was good without the sauce that I wanted and that’s why I gave 2 stars. I won’t be coming back because of my experience. There’s plenty of other places that will put the amount of sauce I ask for on a pizza.
