It is commonly known that decent Japanese restaurants are reluctantly to receive underage guests, because even adult foreigners may not know Japanese etiquette very well and bring disturbance to other guests. I cannot count how many fine restaurants I missed because of a child attached. But not in Maruyama. Their service is extremely well that they can take care of child and at the same time keep things in good order. Very very patient and great attention to details As with food, here you can expect top tier kaiseki standard, what is surprising is that their child menu is very nice too.

It was a shocking taste on the tongue that I had only eaten burger in the United States. As the next dish comes out at a good timing, I wondered where I'm watching. I got nervous in a private room!

A Kyoto restaurant in a quiet area away from the main street. I had lunch before the theater in Minamiza. Both the building and the room are very tasteful, and you can feel the owner's concerns and Japanese feelings. Each dish that is transported one by one has a refined taste. The sake goes in the vessel. The food was also adapted to the customer's pace and enjoyed slowly. One of the shops I want to go to again.
