I had been craving a fabulous cupcake for weeks, so had higher than normal expectations in mind when I visited Gigi's on Johnsons Ferry in Marietta, GA. The place is cute with bright pastel colors and gorgeous offerings on both sides of the shop. The girl behind the counter was friendly and helpful. The cupcake I chose was the Lemon Icebox. It looked just as it does on the website. The flavor left me wishing I'd just made my own cupcakes at home. The icing's texture was odd and tasted as though it came from adding water (like the kind you just add water and stir.) The cupcake itself had a weird texture, too. As I ate the dough seemed rubbery or gummy. The scant filling may have had a slight lemon flavor but there was so little of it I think it blended into the rest. The experience left me thinking that if this is what commercially baked cupcake bakeries offer I'll just make my own. :)

Literally the BEST cupcakes EVER! The cake is great but the icing is the best I've had. I have dreams about these cupcakes because they are that good! Service is also great. The place is cute and clean. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

We came to the door at 7:55 and they turned us down and said they weren't allowed to sell cupcakes "after hours"- for the record they close at 8. There was no attempt to reason. I love these cupcakes, but a failure for customer service.

Sweet treats in a very pleasant atmosphere, sometimes you've just got to have a cupcake. This is the place to go.

Oh my gosh, the cupcakes are amazing. I loved my salted caramel one. I haven't ordered cupcakes from here for an event, but I plan to. The one thing is they don't have a lot of seating and what they do have isn't very comfortable. However, I doubt they get a lot of people coming in and staying. So good, I highly recommend.
